Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. But then I crashed into something solid and the air left my lungs. Confused and still feeling like I was flying, I kept my eyes closed while my hands pressed against whatever it was that I was now lying on. When I could breathe normally again I opened my eyes and looked around, realizing that I was indeed still flying, but not towards the ground. I was floating evenly across the sky, with my dress and hair dancing past me. I blinked away the dryness of the air hitting me and looked down, taking note of the deep black, scaly thing I was on.

She tested her arms and legs, twisted her neck, tested her body…. She felt different, that was for sure. She was not herself anymore. She felt unlimited strength coursing through her. A desire to run, to sprint, to break through walls, to leap into the air. She also felt something else: two slight bulges on her back, behind her shoulder blades. Very subtle, but she knew they were there. Wings. She knew, she felt, that if she wanted to fly, they would open up for her.

With that, he slowly and dramatically brings his wings back out and walks over to the window. Enkeli had an urge to walk over to him and talk, but she knew that no one else could see him and it would look like she was crazy. Perhaps they would think she is really losing it and needs to be sent to a mental hospital for hallucinating. Her parents were already suspicious enough of her, she didn’t need to bring on more problems. She simply watched as the beautiful huge dark wings lifted him up. He flew out the window and they seemed to expand even further, encompassing his entire body.
