Some things, I thought, are worth being careful with. And some things, once you stop being careful and simply look at them clearly, turn out to be exactly what they appeared to be all along.

"Everything isn’t what it seems. Be careful." She nodded subtly, understanding enough to stay quiet. We mingled with Samantha and Arabella, laughing and dancing. I tried to act normal, pretending that I was enjoying myself, but my heart wasn’t fooled. Every smile felt forced, every laugh hollow. Beneath the glittering chandeliers and music, something dark lingered in the air—an unease I couldn’t shake.

On the surface, everything looked deceptively calm—me showing up at the gallery, Lucas visiting for dinner with his easy smiles, Adrian running his empire with that controlled precision. But beneath it all, the current was shifting, restless, impossible to ignore.

There are couches across each other and a coffee table in the middle. Shun walked towards the other couch and sat there, eyeing the unfinished beer on the table. A moment passed before he realized he was gulping it down. “Whoa.” Sachiko plopped down on the couch beside him. “Something happened?” Shun gulped the last drop of the beer and put it back on the table. He leaned on the couch and closed his eyes. He heaved a sigh. “Sachi, why is life so hard?” Sachi’s eyes moved from the beer to him, her eyes narrowing. “Because it’s challenging us before we go to our greatest goal in life.”

I absorb her words in silence, a part of me still grappling with the enigma of it all. But deep down, I knew there was truth in what she said. Perhaps some mysteries were better left unsolved, some truths better left unspoken and as I nod in quiet acceptance, I can't help but wonder what other secrets this world might hold, hidden just beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.

She started reading. __________ Believe it or not, hearing voices or seeing things does not always mean you are suffering from a mental disorder. People usually think that when a person starts hearing voices that apparently has no source, they are suffering from a psychological problem. Hallucinations are not always psychological, it mostly might be the case but my experience is absolutely not me seeing things. As Shakespeare had said in Hamlet that "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,/ Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." You cannot always term everything or find logic in every phenomenon.
