I remember what I said about a minute ago and cringed terribly, I can't believe I just told my Stepbrother I have never had sex in my entire life and all he did was look calm with a smiling face. "This can't be happening!" I mumbled then slapped my head forehead so hard that I am sure my face would look red. Slowly I stared at Xavier, I didn't want him to know I was looking so I made sure to be extremely slow. I noticed he wasn't even looking in my direction and had his back towards me. He wasn't putting on anything but his usual boxers. 'Why does he always have to do this every morning?' My tone was final. “Mat, what concerns Xander and me, is how he even knows her name. Aren’t you a little curious as to why someone has come searching for her after all these years?” Tobias questioned me. If it was anyone else, I probably would have ripped them apart for questioning me as such, but Tobias was my best friend and my second in command. He was in charge of our fighters and borders and also helped Xander control some of the tribes in our clan. Tobias had been with me since I could remember. We went to school together, fought together, shit we even shared girls. In the 28 years of my miserable existence, I could not recall one time that Tobias had not stood by my side.

Valerie: Steam curled from the marble tub, fogging the mirrors and softening the edges of the room. The scent of sandalwood drifted through the air, one of his, not mine. At this point I didn't even have it in me to try and choose the scent. I sat inside the tub, watching as Xavier poured in more soap to the hot water. His sleeves were rolled up, the veins in his forearms catching the light. For once, there was no command in his movements, no arrogance. Just silence. They believed that the members of the pack had been led down the wrong path and didn’t have what it took. Although they weren’t wrong, I still had hope for Tobias. From the information Carter gathered about Tobias, he was more of a wild card. Other than basic information about him, there wasn’t much we found. Tobias was twenty-four and had been at the top of his classes throughout school. He had a business and law degree but wasn’t involved with much in the pack. From what was found, it didn’t seem as if Tobias trained with the other pack members. There also didn’t seem to be any record of him leaving the territory. Even his college degrees were all online. Everyone believed he was mute, but

I stretched my arms up and stifled the groan that wanted to scream out of my mouth “How do you do that?” I asked as I rolled my neck, “Do what?” he asked back, “Make me feel so alive and wired, even when I'm ready to slip away and sleep for the next few days?”. Tobias sat up and crossed his large legs in front of him. “It’s what I was chosen for” he said blankly.

Sophia looked so startled she started to shake slightly. Chloe quickly moved from Sophia and gave me a quick hug. “Congratulations, Alpha,” she smiles. Even though I’ve told her for years to call me Oliver, she will only do so in private, but now, considering she is on the same rank level as Sophia and me, she really doesn’t have to. “I should say the same thing,” I nod toward her as she moves back between Bobby and Jax.

“Hunji,’ Xander lays a hand on me as try to leave the room. “Tobias has three of the bastards in our cells, the warriors have them locked up. One Hunter and two wolves.” I nod my head “Let me know when you interrogate them, have Tobias link me.” I tell him. Tobias and I can link because we both belong to Riocht. Tobias is still a part of the Kodiak Kingdom and can still link with their members, the same as I can link with pack members of MacTire. “Okay,” Xander tells me and lets go of my arm. “Give Finn some time,” I look between the two bear shifters “He needs to sort through his own mess in his head before he can see reason.”

“Jake Mano,” He answer professionally, taking a moment to regard Tobias from head to toe before asking. “And who may you be?” Of course he already knew the answer to that question, Tobias, without any introduction needed, was a figure of great importance and influences. The whole world knew who he was, so much, that his name was a common search word. Tobias raised an eyebrow. “Tobias,” He answered. “Tobias Larsen, and last I checked, if you want to question someone, it’s only courtesy that you answer one’s question.”

Among the rogue fighters, someone immediately recognized his identity. "This... this is Tobias, the genius of the Steeles!"
