Stepping through the doorway, Tony's eyes widened as he saw Ms. Black still seated on the sofa, her presence a stark reminder that something was amiss. Struggling to maintain his composure, Tony addressed his mother. "Mom, aren't you going home? I thought you were leaving," he said, trying to keep his voice low. Ms. Black's gaze remained fixed on him as she coolly replied, "Sweetie, I've changed my mind. I won't be going home tonight. I'll be staying here."

The adults were occasionally glancing at Mr Stark, making small talk that he made it his mission to shut down. They decided to take business back into the building. Anthony grabbed my arm before I could go into the office. I looked between him and Mr Stark, who was looking at Anthony’s hand on my arm. “Hi Emmanuel,” Anthony greeted Mr Stark, waving at him with a huge smile. “You don’t need him in there, right?” he asked him. “I could use a friend,” Mr Stark eyed him for a moment too long before he disappeared into what looked like an office, shutting the door behind him. “Great, come with me,” Anthony said turning to walk back the long passageway.

Tony couldn’t help but let out a chuckle before sending her off to get some rest. There wasn’t a lot to do. When Tony was finally done, it was also almost time to clock off work. Just when they were about to leave, Leo came knocking on their door with a morose look on his face. “Mr. Hart, the front desk called to inform you that President Stark is here.” When Myra heard him, she was startled for a moment before her face fell. On the contrary, Tony betrayed no emotion as he waved at Leo. “Tell him I’m not going to meet him.”

He settled underneath the covers and tugged me towards him. I turned on the TV and scrolled through the movies till I settled on Work It, the dance movie featuring Liza Koshy and Sabrina Carpenter. I turned to Ayo and he nodded. I pressed play and turned off my lights from the switch beside me. I laid under the covers and Ayo immediately pulled me towards him and tangled our legs together.
