Touch Starved Game Novels & Stories

We were falling through a tunnel of dark matter. As the darkness consumes the vault, Lyra hears a final, mechanical chime. A screen flickers to life in the void, displaying a world she doesn't recognize a lush, green planet with two moons. A text prompt appears in her mind: "New Game Initialized. Players: 4. Objective: Survival. Warning: The Broker is still among you."

I'm never going to make that mistake. Nevertheless, I'm not going to allow all of what Celine said to get in the way. I know she wants to get to me so I can give up, but that's not happening. It takes two to tango, and am an expert dancer. Darren hasn't admitted that's he's with Celine yet, so that means there's still hope. Watch out for me... The game just got real..... . . . Natalie's P. O. V

Larissa's mind was still foggy and she did not reply immediately. Wendy explained, "With the lockdown in place, people can't go out to have fun. They can only stay home and watch dramas or play games! The biggest and most comprehensive streaming site online is VisualBox. It's owned by Microworks Corporations. Exclusive content can only be unlocked by paying for a membership. As for games, the top three most downloaded games on the leaderboards were developed by Microworks Corporation as well. I heard that the gaming department of Microworks Corporations made billions in revenue in just the first week of the lockdown!"

"More like everything. I've sent you the information." "Oh great. Thank you. I owe you one." "No problem. See you later." "Of course." I cut the call and immediately went through the information he had indeed sent already. It was spectacular. Everything I needed in one great detail, and I sure as hell knew I was onto something when I saw that just one person from the three people I had seen that night at the facility was alive. The guy in black. Or Blade, as that was the name he was known by in the underground world.

ZAIRE’S POV "Shit, they absolutely carved them open, man. I can't even hate." Spencer said, scrolling through his phone as he read off the stats from yesterday’s game between the Milton Lions and the Eastbrook Ravens. We were sitting at our usual table under the tree in the quad, eating lunch. The break wasn't over for about the next fifteen minutes. “Come on, this is the Ravens we’re talking about,” Finn said with a dismissive roll of his eyes. “They’re shit. I'm sure we are going to destroy them too when we play them.”

With a swift movement, I peeled off the carbon fiber mask, taking a deep, ragged breath of the bunker's familiar, ozone-scented air. "Fifty million dollars in military-grade tech, completely stripped from Thorne's primary logistics line," Zero said, stepping out from the halo of his server monitors. A slow, rare smirk touched his lips, though his dark eyes remained intensely focused on me. "The underground boards are melting down, Vesper. Everyone is scrambling to figure out who just cut Malakai Thorne's throat in his own harbor."

Zen checked his notification. [The Godfather thinks that this is a good suggestion. You have been awarded 100 credits.] Zen paled. Starving to death just after escaping death narrowly in the VR battle royale? It wasn’t even a funny joke! With a protesting stomach, Zen decided to leave his room in search of the cafeteria.

I was casually waiting for him to come back when this girl showed up right in front of me. “Do you need something?” I asked because she was staring at me. She gritted her teeth at me, and to my shock, she showed her juice into me. “What the heck,” I uttered and turned my gaze to her. “That is for stealing Tobi away from me,” She said and before I could react, she slapped me in the face. “And that is for getting engaged with him."

, The virtual farmer screamed with a frown on his face. "You're getting quite bossy aren't you. Just gimme a hoe or something!". Letting out a deep sigh, while trying hard not to toss the phone out the window. I was really frustrated!! "Permanent weapon chosen. First harvest has begun, you have twenty-four hours to collect the item", the mascot disappeared and a pair of eyes appeared. The game closed by itself after a twenty-four hour count down appeared. That night, I slept believing what Bev had told me. It was probably spammers.... Or so I thought...

As we walked, Tommy explained the game to me. “It's called MonsterGo,” he said, pulling out his cell phone. “You open up the app and then monsters pop up on your screen. They can show up anywhere, so you have to run all over town to find them.” Tommy snatched my phone out of my hand and quickly downloaded the game for me. “There, now you can play too,” he said. I shrugged, seeing the game as the perfect opportunity to distract myself from the misery that was job hunting. We ran around the park for a bit and it wasn't long before I caught my first monster. It was called a “Stingly.”
