He pulled, the root tearing free with a wet, ripping sound that made one of the newer men down the line flinch.
"Two," Zandrei breathed, holding the larger tooth up to the dim light. "Look at that. A perfect specimen. You have excellent dental hygiene, I'll give you that. It's a shame, really."
He tossed it over his shoulder, the clatter as it hit the floor punctuating his words.
"Now, for the love of all that is holy, tell me who sent you before I get bored and start on something that isn't as easily replaced." His gaze dropped pointedly to the man's fingers, still curled uselessly against the arms of the chair.
