The human body would immediately die within an hour or two from not being able to handle foreign blood. The human would undergo a transition that could last for three to five days, depending entirely on the body. Some even wake up a little later than that. And it will be up to fate if the humans survive after that.

They had dark circles under their eyes, slack jaws and lank, unwashed hair.

A small Wraith no larger than a butterfly escaped the portal and flung itself at a white-faced Master level Neratomay, who grabbed her face where the Wraith landed. But it was too late. The Wraith was inside her. She collapsed to the floor and began to seize, shaking and trembling with impossible speed before leaping to her feet. But she was no longer a Neratomay. She had become a zombie with cracked skin, long teeth, and claws, her eyes deader than dead. The zombie leaped with unnatural speed at a shape-shifter that had shifted back to a man, tore him in two, and began to eat his torn flesh.
