Too awfully, incredibly real. She could’ve just dismissed them as a group of completely crazy people, as some weird cult or society that was completely delusional. But after all that had happened in the last 48 hours, she actually found herself thinking twice. Her own strength. Her own behavior. The way she felt her body changing. Could vampires be true? According to him, the Moon Howlers are experimenting on some humans and injecting them with some kind of venom which is turning them into those creatures but we still need to confirm that.” She told him about it but not before looking at me for consent to do so.

[Juliet's POV] The music at the celebration party continued. Surrounded by a crowd, Alison basked in the crowd's repetitive praises. Suddenly, a deafening boom came from the city walls. Overlapping growls and roars of zombies tore through the atmosphere. Terror erupted instantaneously. People in the crowd screamed, "It's a swarm of zombies! A massive swarm of zombies!" A guard ran over, staggering along the way. "The lightning barrier on the right of the base has been breached. There's a massive gap. Zombies are coming through soon!"

I immediately exchanged points for several cages made from a special reinforced material. After unlocking them, I positioned the cages directly behind the gate, then stood there myself as bait. The moment the zombies spotted me, they immediately charged straight toward the gate. And the second they rushed into the cages, I slammed the metal doors shut behind them. Just like that, the zombies became my property. I locked them all inside massive wheel-shaped cages and hung rotting flesh at the front. Driven by the scent of the meat, the zombies would mindlessly keep running forward nonstop.
