For a moment, Adrian almost forgot his own name. Without moving from her body, Adrian buried his face into her hair, still processing the ungodly pleasure. Theron's POV The day of the event was finally here. This is the day I officially put Twilight on the map. Another success to celebrate. Many of my past lovers have been calling nonstop to accompany me to the event but I turned them all down. I don't want any drama tonight so I decided to just go alone.

She was staring at the ceiling, trying hard to pretend none of this was happening. “What’s your name?” I asked. She hesitated. “Jane. My name is Jane.” Jane? Even her name was common. “Who are you, Jane? I asked. Her head turned toward me. “I’m a maid,” she said. “Obviously,” I retorted. “Who owns you?” I asked. “I'm a person of my own. Although I work for Alpha Theo, the alpha of the blood moon.” Something stir within me as she mentioned the blood moon. How did a wonderful treasure like her end up in the blood moon?

Antheia was in good hands and he had nothing to worry about it. “How are you doing? Are you enjoying the party?” Jane asked and Antheia’s eyes went to her when she could not find her mate. “Ah yes, and the desserts, they are great!” Antheia replied and her face showed unfamiliarity to the woman which was also understood by Jane. “Right! Jane reached out to the wand, but a beam of red light glowed from the wand when she did and she pulled back her hand in pain -- obviously the light hurt her hand.

My body freezes the moment our gaze meets. Forest green eyes. A deep, simmering rage flickers behind them like a flame starved of air, waiting for something-anything-to ignite it into an inferno. My throat tightens. He watches me with the predatory stillness of a hawk, his sharp gaze tracking my every breath. I part my lips to speak, but the words die on my tongue.
