Luckily Dante is loaded or else there is no way that this would have worked otherwise. Since the witches regard children differently than they do grown ups, I take Scarlett and Ulfred with me to unload all of the supplies. When I pull up Hazel and her group of friends walk out to help me but stop short when they see Scarlett get out and walk over to Ulfred. None of them move as she slings a wrap around her and places him in it gently.

It was a city of **Scraps**. Buildings were made of giant, discarded motherboard components. The streets were paved with the glass of billions of broken smartphone screens. And standing at the gates of this Frankenstein city were the "Glitches." They didn't look like us. Some were half-finished, lacking faces or limbs. Others were characters from old fantasy games—knights with pixilated swords, dragons made of green wireframes, and mages whose spells were nothing but bursts of static. They stood in a silent, menacing line, their eyes—if they had them—glowing with a bitter, abandoned heat.

I heard her stomach grumble, which could only mean hunger. I paused and headed back into the kitchen. Scarlett instead sat where I could see her, and she read aloud while I made blueberry pancakes. “The white wolves are wolves of peace. They ruled as kings until the demon wolves created elements of chaos to take over the world.” She read out loud. I could barely concentrate on what I was doing as I watched her lips move. Goodness! She's beautiful! “Isn't that an irony?” Scarlett asked, looking confused. She glanced at me for a moment, and then looked back into the book.

I hope she forgives me and gives me back my pretty face, I just can't live this way. Alexander's point of view: My thoughts were still on Rihanna, I just can't concentrate on anything without thinking about her. I was trying to read the book my junior cousin gave me but I don't think I'm paying any attention to it. It is filled with magic and supernatural stories. Suddenly my eyes caught something in the book. A story of the ugly girl and the beauty goddess. There are other goddesses apart from Selene and I've heard about this beauty goddess but I don't know much about her.

Ass munch growled shifting into his brown, dirty wolf. "No man... I didn't sign up for this, my old pack might be gone... But I still play by their rules." Ugly sighed, he looked... Ready to die?The brown wolf's eyes snapped over to ugly. He growled before snapping at his feet. The blond boy jumped back, than looked at me with an apologetic look. He than shifted into his dirty blond ugly wolf.I contemplated it, I knew they are going to attack... Stick to the plan. When they lunged at me, I backed up.I let out a screech... Literary making me cringe. I look so weak!I turned on my heel and ran...

Today, I had caught the fool with my own two eyes, trapped in a room with two freshman girls, fucking them both. Just thinking about the sight made me intensely nauseous. One had her mouth wrapped tightly around him while he licked the wet pussy of the other. The dirty, desperate moans of those idiotic girls still echoed in my head—especially the way one of them had looked up, locked eyes with me, and smiled cunningly right through her moans. The doorbell chimed again, abruptly interrupting the toxic spiral of my thoughts.

I thought about all of the evil mages we’d just banished to other realms and how Mage Ostrich had told us not to do that too late. Mostly, though, I just thought about how all of this was so surreal, and never in a million years would I have ever thought this would be my life. We were just a couple of months short of my birthday. One year ago, I was a normal girl in California, doing normal girl things. Now, here I was, fighting mages, running with werewolves, and turning myself into a dragon at will.

Even the pungent stench of decay had crowned the day with a lingering nauseating grace, travelling the skies like an entourage of heavy soot. Buildings were left in ruins. Wailing and screams, chattering metal armours, and the resounding explosions of canons echoed in a flowing stream of rings. The World was in ruin; one would mistake it to be the end of the World. The War between the Ultiar gods: Ekron god of discord and darkness, and Vyorn goddess of Nature, had gone on for centuries. The mid 7000BC to 2000BC, felt the kind caresses of the sword and heavy form of magic.

You’d notice that Nefret’s middle name is June, kept after her grandmother. That’s it! Thanks for reading 😊 .... Books to read after THE LONELY GOD:- 1.
