I tipped a single drop onto her wrist.
The light came faster this time. It didn’t ease outward, but rather erupted, white and gold and staggering, climbing up and up and spreading wide. And within it, unfolding from her back in a rush that pushed me back a full step, two wings extended: enormous, white, spanning the width of the hut from wall to wall.
