Valhalla Rising Novel Novels & Stories

The islands arrive from the airplane window as something that should not exist — nine volcanic peaks rising from the North Atlantic with the improbable insistence of things that were not consulted about whether they belonged there and decided to exist anyway. Valentina has her nose practically against the glass, which she would not admit to anyone who was not already watching her do it. Ethan is watching her do it. He says nothing because the moment doesn't need narrating.

Thank you so much for reading my first ever book, I leave you with the first chapter from Rise of a Queen - book 2 for your enjoyment. RISE OF A QUEEN - BOOK 2 Chapter 1 – A New Kingdom. LAMIA I looked out the window on the top floor of my castle, yes, my castle, taking slow sips from the crystal glass that held the dark thick rum, my drink of choice tonight, as I pondered over the past two years and how far we had come.

"Ah, that may be true, but my pride is still injured." I try hard not to laugh. Unfortunately though, I gave Xavier the exact opportunity he's been waiting for. Without flinching, he takes aim. He fires, and I barely have enough time to duck. I can hear as he begins to make his way up the silo. No where to hide, I stand up at the far end of the silo, waiting for Xavier to approach. The sound of him climbing unwavering, I get ready for his head to appear at any moment. Before I realize what's happened, I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I look down to see a purple dot over my chest. I ben my head down in defeat, and wait as Xavier makes his way up. To my surprise, Jax climbs up the ladder.

Ava’s POV Sleep was a stranger that night. I had tossed and turned until the moon itself had traveled halfway across the sky, the glow through my curtains mocking my exhaustion. My wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, as though aware of my turmoil but refusing to share its calm with me. Every breath in the dark felt stifling, every thought circling back to Diego, to Sage, to the chains of my family’s expectations. I finally pushed the covers off with a sigh and padded to my balcony doors. The air outside was cool and heavy with the faint scent of rain. The courtyard below looked peaceful, but peace was the last thing inside me.

I ask as more tears stream down my face and onto the dress. We are on a hill, let me just say a mountain, with the highest cliff I have ever seen. There is a river at the bottom of the cliff, the scenery is breathtaking and also a perfect place to commit murder. Here, even my bones will never be found. “ What horrible thing did I do to deserve this?” I ask feeling so hopeless. My whole body vibrates, I never thought my life would end up this way.

On her eighteenth birthday, Nyra believes the Moon Goddess has finally blessed her—mating her to her longtime boyfriend, Prince Dante. It feels like destiny. Until the ceremony begins… and Dante rejects the bond in front of everyone. Then he chooses her sister instead. Broken and humiliated, Nyra is thrown away as a “rejected bond” and handed to the Crown’s most feared enforcer. But the Moon Goddess never makes mistakes… and this bond is only the beginning.

Ethan’s P.O.V Valentina stared hard at the broken glasses, and she withdrew her shaky hands ignoring me as though I wasn’t there, she began to pick up her books from the floor, and one of them caught my eyes. It was a plain white book with folded edges, it seemed like a fictional book. “Valentine’s Day” was the supposed title, it was written in bold blood-red letters, I was interested in the book because this is the first time I’ve seen such a unique title.

Valeria The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the rolling hills of our land. I stood at the edge of the valley, watching as the horizon stretched out before me, peaceful and calm for the first time in what felt like an eternity. Malachai was gone. The prophecy, the endless fear, and the war that had nearly torn us apart were finally behind us.

Serenity POV I square my shoulders, stand straight, and follow my father's unit up the steps. I feel my unit fall into formation behind me and am proud to call them mine. It came so naturally.
