I can hear Isabel scream, and I shout at Anderson, “Go help her!” But he’s already rushing towards her, snarling. I look at Beth. “Take him! Go!” I jump at the three men coming towards us, and my teeth are out as I pierce one of their necks. The deadly paralyzing agent that only vampires have injects into the enemy’s blood stream, making him fall onto the ground. The other two don’t stop, moving towards me, fur sprouting from their body. I tackle one from his midsection, making him fall back, and I stomp on his face before jumping off and kicking the other in his groin. Twice.

This time, it was delayed, maybe because she hadn’t fought one in so long. Over 10 years when she was living here before and had her last run in. It was high, and it helped her heal faster and energize her. She almost forgot how it felt. Almost! She decides to jump in the shower to rid herself of the existing residue left by the other vampire. Their do’s and don't, heroes and heroine, the war between them and hunters and their little alliance with the witches. It had a similarity because the man who bit me was a vampire.

Some related to Vampires and others that might just help their situation. “I should’ve known that where Alexis goes, Alexis brings trouble” he grumbled as he threw a book to the girl who didn’t know how to apologise. “Will these help?” She dumbly asked. “I summoned them for a reason Alexis, now start reading. If there’s anything you can do it’s retain information.” He pointed to a pile of vampire books, “start with those. You need to understand everything about vampires first”. Alexis took a deep breath at the pile. ‘This is going to take a while…’

It wasn’t clear to me why I felt a twinge of guilt, just seeing it. “Chasing down the Vampire. Stopping the reign of blood.” She read, pointing to the title, and subtitle. “Oh. What’s it about?” I asked, a little awkwardly. “It’s a vampire who suddenly went crazy after tasting blood for the first time.” She replied, and I scoffed. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I said, snatching the book from her hands.
