The Ashen Veil

The Ashen Veil

It demands a price. Rowan’s steps falter for a fraction of a second, and I feel the shift like a warning bell. He is not invincible. He just refuses to admit it. We reach another junction where the tunnel splits three ways, and a faint draft moves through the air, cold and damp, carrying the scent of open space ahead. Rowan listens. He tilts his head, nostrils flaring slightly, wolf senses tasting air. He points toward the far-right tunnel. “Exit shaft,” he murmurs.

Shadow Wolves

Shadow Wolves

"Aside from the weather being absolute shit, the terrain around this area isn't easily traversed. I don't see any humans making the trek easily if at all. Now I know what you're thinking, *what's so important about that?* Well, I didn't think much of it until I saw this." The image changed, this time to footage from one of the tracker's bodycam. Just as Johnny had described, the ground looked uneven and the trees were knotted together like string. There was a blanket of snow on everything that hid the dangers of holes or exposed roots. But amongst it all was a narrow trail leading into the part of the knot of trees that seemed the easiest to pass. The owner of the footage followed the trail,

Wolfbane

Wolfbane

"You're welcome to come help us track, of course. It could be your first warrior experience. Although, probably best you don't come to the torture portion." "What happens during a torture?" I mindlinked him. I heard a noise behind me and turned to see that some warriors were approaching. He looked at them and then turned back to me, mindlinking me, "I get to practice my butchering skills on live mammals, with very sharp knives." I shivered. I'd never seen him look so evil before, it was almost frightening. One thing was clear—Blake Wulfric was not someone you'd ever want to cross.

Demon's Evolution

Demon's Evolution

Henry made his voice heard. And we all burst out laughing. -Crack As our attention switched, we heard the sound of dead leaves being trodden on. "Grr.." "Graargh!" "Aguarg!" We all turned to see a swarm of trolls racing towards us. Us four prepared for a long war by unsheathing our weapons. For the time being, I had no plans to employ my skills. It was time to train in the sword.

Torn Between Three

Torn Between Three

I watched her enter the house before turning away. Eclipse Lounge was louder than expected. I weaved my way through the crowd and went to the counter. I felt someone tap me “ You're the new kid” I nodded, not comfortable with the word kid. “I'm Gregg, the owner of the place” he handed me a black button-up shirt.”Wear this” “Where do I change?” “The locker room” I blinked at him “Oh, you're new here.” He pointed towards the back. “Once you reach the back, keep moving forward. You'll see a locker room sign.”

Her Darkness, His Light

Her Darkness, His Light

she laughed out loud earning confused looks from some of the trolls nearby. "We'll talk about that when this is over dear brother." With that they aimed their weapons on all those rock like creatures relentlessly coming at them from all directions. The elven king and his army was strong enough to overthrow the trolls in the western boarder of Golden Haven. They've been fighting this war for years which made the elves more experienced and slick when it came to a battle like this. The giant trolls in the west side were quick to realize that they were losing a great number from their army. So instead of getting themselves killed, they moved to the upfront where most of the trolls were.

The Alpha's Obsession

Yet, the group refused to yield, their determination burning brighter than ever. A surge of adrenaline coursed through Leori's veins as he spotted a weakness in the troll's defenses. With a calculated strike, he aimed for the creature's exposed ankle, his blade finding its mark. The troll bellowed in agony, momentarily staggering backward. Seizing the opportunity, Robin swiftly shot an arrow, his aim true as it embedded itself in the troll's shoulder. The creature roared in pain, momentarily distracted from the chaos unfolding around it. The group pressed on, exploiting the momentary advantage.

Mated To The Scarred Alpha

Mated To The Scarred Alpha

A growl echoes from somewhere ahead, low and rough, followed by another… and another. Then, chaos. Black-eyed wolves burst from the fog, dozens of them, snarling, lunging straight for the front. Behind them, huge trolls crash through the trees, wielding jagged clubs. The ground shakes under their weight. “Hold formation!” I shout, throwing up a wall of air that sends a group of wolves tumbling backward. Elven arrows zip past my shoulders, hitting the beasts mid-leap. One troll charges toward a cluster of sirens, swinging wildly. Without thinking, I extend my hand, water from the nearby stream surges upward in a sharp, coiling strike. It crashes into the troll, freezing instantly in shards of

Moonmark: The Alpha's Celestial Mate

Moonmark: The Alpha's Celestial Mate

Fire was no mere element to her. It dragged her back to the night of her childhood, and when trolls had cornered her and laughed about how they would roast her alive. The memory really hurts, but she forced herself to be calm and not to let her fear show, she had to win. Above them, glowing letters carved themselves across the sky, the ingredient list. Moonveil Mushrooms. The first challenge. Crystal baskets appeared in their hands, it was cool and glowing faintly. The consorts tightened their grips, nerves and excitement sparking in their eyes.
