I closed my eyes for a moment before I decided to take a bath. I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled over to the mirror, still half-asleep. As I stared at my reflection, something felt off. I blinked several times, trying to focus. My white hair strands—the ones that had always been there in small streaks—were longer. Much longer. And there were more patches of white spread throughout my hair, giving it an eerie contrast against the rest of my dark locks. I ran my fingers through it, confused. It wasn’t like this yesterday, was it?

I thought it was exhaustion. Then, the pain hit. It was sharp and sudden —like someone had taken a blade and twisted it deep in my gut. I gritted my teeth, forcing myself to stay still, but it got worse. The room blurred. My vision darkened at the edges. Then I felt nothing. When I woke up, the first thing I saw was white. White walls, white sheets, white fluorescent lights buzzing overhead. And then I heard a voice. “You’re awake.” I turned my head, wincing. A doctor stood by the bed, arms crossed, looking vaguely unimpressed.

My eyes fluttered open and for a long moment, everything felt hazy, like I was waking from a dream that refused to let me go. The first thing that registered was the white walls. The white sheets beneath me. The air itself seemed to hum with a sterile calm that felt almost unreal.

Maybe I should sleep. So I set my alarm and slept... hoping that I could get enough sleep tonight. Tomorrow was another long day. .. I was woken up by my alarm blurring under my pillow. I got up feeling like a Zombie. I took a quick bath and then went to my wardrobe. Black jeans and a white golf t-shirt since it was friday, with white sneakers. I fixed my hair, made my lunchbox and went to my car. I drove to school and tried to keep my shit together...

Nicolas just breaks out laughing. There is a knock-on Alexi's door. Alexi yells, "Come in!" Alora comes walking in and she is kicking Nicolas out and letting Alexi know it is time to get ready for bed. They are getting up at 5 a.m. to train. She looks at Alora like she is insane and asks, "Who in the world gets up that early?" Alora replies, "You do now missy."

CHAPTER 45 Marcellus woke up with a start. His head was pounding, and his vision was blurred. As he tried to make sense of his surroundings, he realized he was lying on a bed in a room that was blindingly bright. The white light was shining directly on his face, making it difficult for him to see anything else in the room. He squinted his eyes and tried to adjust his vision.

I woke up already tired. I hated how I felt. My mouth tasted awful. Bitter. I rolled onto my side and the room tilted slightly. I sat up too fast. The nausea hit immediately. It was hard and sharp, forcing itself through my throat. I barely made it out of bed before my knees hit the ground. And voices. Distant. Urgent. Someone kept saying my name while tapping me. When I came back to myself, the world was white. White ceiling. White lights. White sheets tucked too tight around my legs.

Chapter Three Jamie I wake up to the sound of a soft knock on the door, it’s so soft that I am surprised I even woke up to it. “Who is it?” I ask softly. But there is no response, so I pull the white comforter off of me, and swing my legs out of bed. I realize I am wearing nothing but a silky white nightgown, which confuses me because I vividly remember putting on my fuzzy pajama pants with little elephants on them, and a tank top.
