Slowly I stood up from the bed, wondering why I was awake so late in the night. I had fallen asleep extremely exhausted, and yet now I didn't feel like it at all. Just then, I passed out and saw darkness everywhere. **** I woke up from my slumber when the morning sun rays fell on my skin. My mind was so cloudy that I did not feel like myself. The soft silk sheets that covered me were not the usual ones that I woke up to. I slowly blinked my eyes open, and my eyes were fixed on an unusual ceiling and an unusual lightening that I wasn't used to waking up to. My body and my head ached badly. My eyes widened, I lifted the blanket to see that I was putting on a white shirt without pants. I almost let out a scream when I realised that I was in a strange room.

Oh my goodness! Laurel's movements kept Aaron awake from his sleep, even the way he woke up was so elegant. Laurel looked stunned and then cursed herself for not panicking, she took time to admire the way Mr. White had awakened. Mr White's thick dark lashes twitched, then his sharp eyes opened, and looked straight at Laurel. Mr White is apparently the kind of person who wakes up right away. They stare in silence. Long. Joshua I woke up naked and sprawled on an unknown bed. My head pounded and the stabbing sunlight drilled into the back of my eyes. I groaned. My right arm felt numb. “What happened?” Resting her head on my right arm, Bianca woke with a start. Her round eyes grew wide in shock, then shrank back to their normal size. “Good morning,” she said, smiling. She sighed and wrapped her arm around my bare chest. “God! I miss waking up like this with you.”

Intense. But this pain was different. It wasn’t from the knife. It was from awakening. From being pulled back into my body. I gasped violently. Air flooded my lungs. My eyes snapped open. Light blinded me. For a moment, I couldn’t see anything. Just white. Pure white. My chest rose and fell rapidly as I struggled to understand what was happening. My hands trembled. They were clean. No blood. No wound. My stomach felt normal. No pain. No injury.

Just silence. I woke up with white walls clouding my vision. My heart thumped in my chest and my breathing was ragged and rough. I felt so weak, so tired that I wanted to close my eyes. But I knew if I did that SIM whatever that dream state was, the image would haunt me.

The smell of antiseptic and iodine. A clinic, the main clinic, not the eastern sector. I could hear footsteps in the hallway, the soft beep of monitors, the low murmur of voices.
