Waking Up With My Heart Racing Novels & Stories

POV Noralyn When I wake up my heart is beating wildly inside my chest and I'm all sweaty. There's a strange noise coming from outside, like a repeated pounding and for a moment I think that I'm hallucinating or that it's simply the sound of my beating heart that has been magnified in my panic, until I realize that in fact there's someone knocking at my door.

Then I woke up,Gasping Sweating. Panting like I had run miles. The room was dark. Quiet. Still. But my heart… My heart was racing wildly, recklessly, dangerously. I pressed my hand against my chest, trying to calm the storm inside me. What was happening to me? To be continued *****

I woke up with a start, my body drenched in sweat, and my heart racing. My eyes snap open, and I feel my body covered in a cold sweat, shaking, and my heart pounding. Looking around the room suspiciously and paranoid that the horror may have followed me here, I got up cautiously, shivering. The nightmare looked so real that I couldn't believe it was a dream. I stumble to the bathroom and look in the mirror slowly and cautiously, as if not sure of what I will see.

“Nooooo!” Adam jerks awake, sitting up in the bed quickly. Clutching his chest, he wills his racing heart to slow. He tries to steady his breathing but he can not make his body calm down. The dream took its toll on him, as evidenced by the frantic pounding of his heart.

I'm really looking forward to catching up with them and telling them all about my adventures here. I was so startled by the sound of screeching tires and shouting that I jolted awake in a panic. It was such a sudden and intense experience, my heart was racing and my mind was racing trying to figure out what was happening. It was hard to process everything that was going on in that moment, and it left me feeling really shaken up.

Nina shot up from the bed in a fright. Her left hand gripped her chest as her heart threatened to escape its cage of ribs while her right hand rushed to touch her stomach. She was breathing hard and frantically trying to catch her breath. Upon waking up from the nightmare, Nina was acutely aware of what had happened in the dream and she found it dreadful. She felt terribly upset and anxious. Her heart rate had spiked and she was sweating profusely, she detected after waking up. It was suffocating.

My heart was racing like crazy the whole time. The hallway seemed to stretch forever and my heart was beating really fast and louder with each passing seconds. The key trembled in my hand as I moved towards the entrance. My heart raced with each fumbling motion, the metallic jangle of keys sounding like an alarm in the silence of the night.

A smile appeared on my face, and at that moment I felt my heart beat faster. "Why is my heart beating so fast like this?" My hand felt my chest, feeling the rapid heartbeat. The sound of water gurgling in the bathroom made my face suddenly feel hot and flushed. I walked slowly to the bed and imagined what we would go through tonight. Feeling very tired, I unconsciously started to fall asleep. I don't know how long I was asleep. Until I finally opened my eyes and realized that it was getting late. "Oh my! It's already noon!" I exclaimed in surprise.

Everything is a test. I woke with a gasp and my heart pounding against my ribs like a prisoner trying to escape. The room was still dark, my cheap alarm clock blinking 5:29 a.m. in pale green numbers that cast an eerie glow across my rumpled bedding. I sat up slowly, pressing my hand to my chest, feeling the rapid flutter beneath my palm. My t-shirt was damp with sweat despite the apartment's questionable heating system. It was just a dream.

My heart is racing faster than it has in a long time, and I'm not in the least bit interested in finding out what it is. ==========================
