"Ten minutes ago. We were arguing. She was upset."
A doctor appeared, an older man with silver hair and steady hands. Dr. Morrison. He'd treated my family for years.
"Cade." He nodded at me, then turned his full attention to Scarlett. "Let's see what we have here."
They worked quickly. Checked her blood pressure. Examined her nose with a light. Asked her to rate her pain, her dizziness, and whether she'd hit her head.
"We're going to need to run some tests," Dr Morrison said. "Blood work, possibly imaging. The nosebleed could be caused by several factors: stress, dehydration, trauma, or something more serious."
