I am lost in this kind of City

Strange creatures emerged from the darkness, their eyes gleaming with malevolent intent as they sought to thwart the intruders who dared to trespass upon their domain. But Elara and Aric pressed onward, their determination unyielding as they delved deeper into the heart of the earth. And as they journeyed deeper into the darkness, they uncovered fragments of a sinister plot that threatened to unravel the very fabric of reality itself. Chapter 12: The Looming Darkness In the depths of the earth, Elara and Aric discovered a hidden chamber where a powerful artifact lay hidden, its dark energies pulsing with malevolent intent. It was a relic of a bygone era, a remnant of a time when gods and mor

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

I could only hope that she would have settled in again by tonight, because otherwise I would be allowed to sleep on the couch one night again - and it was really uncomfortable. Sighing, I leaned back and opened the completely tattered book again, which I actually already knew by heart. But I wanted to repeat as much as possible today so that I could get off to a good start tomorrow. I ran my finger over the familiar table of contents. Foreword, evolution, instinct, social life, physiology, reproduction, ancestry, stem groups and subspecies. How many times had I made this movement with my finger? I couldn't count it anymore, but it was like a little ritual I had to go through before I could s

The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

I clutched the small piece of notepaper in my fist, and then settled myself on the grass to read it. My vision blurred as I tried to fix my eyes on the page. I squeezed my eyes shut, and then pulled them open slowly. Sucking in a deep breath, I began to read. It was much shorter than the other clues, and I gnawed at my lip and frowned down at it. It read, quite simply: What lies beneath is found above. Hide and seek are now one. I exhaled heavily, my chest heaving as I puffed out all of the air in my lungs at once. What lies beneath sounded like something lost at sea, but Dakota had said that everything was hidden between Wildflower Way and Wildflower Meadow.

The Lycan King’s Rogue Queen

The Lycan King’s Rogue Queen

“The Unwritten. The deepest layer of the Archive. The place where they keep the stories that haven't happened.” I nodded. The bond stirred—not in approval, but in a dark, hungry resolve. Behind us, far above, Dalth reorganized its books, satisfied with its new entry. And somewhere in a white room, a girl named Lumi waited—counting the seconds she didn’t know were running out. “Let’s go find the girl who doesn't belong in a book,” I said.

Half Blood Shadow

Half Blood Shadow

"We're going to the tunnels." On the outskirts of Asheville sat a derelict cottage that looked like a ruin to any human eye. Beneath its floorboards lay the entrance to the Labyrinth—a subterranean catacomb and crossroads that connected the "Otherworlds." It was the most dangerous route in existence, a place where geography didn't follow the laws of physics, and where even the Blackwood Pack feared to tread. Back at Stein College The silence of the dorm room was shattered as the door was kicked off its hinges.

The Rejected Mate

The Rejected Mate

The enemy had scattered, retreating into the shadows, but we knew they were watching, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As we navigated through the labyrinthine streets, we stumbled upon a hidden underground lair. The entrance was concealed, blending seamlessly with the decaying surroundings. Intrigued yet cautious, we ventured inside. The underground lair was a maze of corridors and chambers, a testament to the meticulous planning and cunning of our adversaries. The walls were adorned with ancient symbols, pulsating with an eerie energy. We could sense that we were drawing closer to the heart of their operation. As we delved deeper, the suspense grew thicker. Each turn could be met

Princess of the Pack, Finding Her Mate

Princess of the Pack, Finding Her Mate

There was something lurking in the shadows, something ancient and powerful, waiting to be awakened. Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath our feet, and a deafening roar echoed through the night. My heart pounded in my chest as I realized that we were not alone. "What was that?" Alex exclaimed, his hand tightening on his weapon. The hooded figure's expression darkened. "We are not alone in this realm," they said gravely. "And whatever lurks in the darkness poses a threat beyond imagining." With each step, the air grew heavier, as if laden with the weight of centuries of untold history. And as we ventured deeper into the labyrinth, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were on the verge of unco

Marked by Moonlight: A Rejected Mate's Redemption

Marked by Moonlight: A Rejected Mate's Redemption

Countless shelves lined with weathered books and scrolls stretched into the distance, promising untold secrets and forgotten wisdom. They made their way through the labyrinthine aisles, their eyes scanning the titles and searching for any mention of Lycans or black magic. Dust danced in the rays of sunlight that filtered through stained glass windows, lending an ethereal quality to their journey. Finally, they discovered a section dedicated to ancient legends and forbidden knowledge. The books here were wrapped in worn leather, their pages delicate and yellowed with age. Rey's fingers traced the spines until they settled upon a tome titled "The Chronicles of Shadows: Unveiling the Secrets of

UNDERNEATH!

UNDERNEATH!

Kelsa realized that the doctor's plan was feasible but extremely difficult to execute. How were they going to hide two life babies from two scary bodybuild guards without them making a sound? Actually, this basement did not have a window. It was specifically designed with only one way to exit. The door. What could they do? "Yes! I know what to do!" Doctor Brown said excitedly as he thought of a plan immediately. He used gauze to cover the mouth of the little ones and used plaster to shut them up. After that, he hid them behind the door in an orderly manner.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Having no other choice, we clamored down them, pressing our backs against the wall hard enough to bruise whenever a wandering Librarian passed by. At this rate, the scent of dirt and dust had all but clogged my nose, and I was almost certain the tremor in my hands had become permanent. I wanted so badly to tell Orion what I’d seen. Tears had streamed from my eyes as we ran, clinging to my throat and neck in sticky rivulets. There had to be hundreds of levels to the underground library, each one packed with moving shelves full of books. Some glowed as Lina’s had, while others pulsated with darkness, or shot off sparks that danced silently in the air.

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.
