I shoved my way through the freakish bodies and made my way to the library hoping it would be free of all the chaos of the school and for once the universe heard me. The library was quiet, it was totally void of human activity, just how I like it, I made my way to a desk in between the book shelves and just sat down with my headphones on. She quickly located the section that was dedicated to witchcraft and picked four books. She made her way to the librarian. The librarian was an old woman with glasses and a friendly smile.

I found the library by accident two hours later. I’m not looking for it. LYRA As I step through the library doors, I inhale deeply, the musty smell of old books is one of my favorite things. The she-wolf behind the desk offers me a fake smile as I pass her desk and make my way to the computers in the center of the library. Taking a seat at the only free computer, I make the mistake of glancing back and the front desk and the woman behind it is glaring at me. It's next to impossible to even do a search. I peel a banana and fix myself some cereal as I use my iPad to search for some answers. The most likely culprit is MacKeeper, the adware that offers to boost productivity and keep the mac safe but is one of the biggest offenders. I reboot into safe mode, search for every trace of MacKeeper, especially deep in the libraries and preference folders. Every time I think I've gotten it out I find another trace of it. The library was vast, two stories tall, lined with thousands of leather-bound books, a massive marble fireplace roaring at the far end, and a mahogany executive desk sitting in the center beneath a crystal chandelier. On the desk sat the master terminal. A sleek, high-powered desktop workstation connected directly to the university's global server array. Elias rushed to the desk, powering on the system.
