Babysitting His Baby
I turned to Javier, and he gave me a small smile before turning to a fast-approaching Joseph, who had a sleeping Lucy in his arms.
“We had a great time, Joe. Thanks for looking after Lucy.”
“Anytime, bro, as long as you don’t plan on giving Lucy a baby brother soon,” Joseph said, waggling his eyebrows at me.
I could feel the blood rushing to my face, so I hid behind my hair.
“Shut it, Joseph. There is a kid here,” Javier scolded.
“She can’t hear anything. She is asleep. I thought that was obvious,” Joseph retorted and I could imagine him rolling his eyes at Javier.
