A whistle brought me back to reality. Did I end up in Gehenna? It didn't seem like it. The whistle I was hearing didn't sound like a product of Gehenna. It was heavenly, like a lullaby that could trap one in a beautiful sleep. It reminded me of the exact whistle I had heard from Alexander on the night of our wedding, before he had stopped time. “ Meara!” The whispers started again, soft but notable. I tensed, my eyes snapping open. I scanned the field, but there was no one in sight. The sound seemed to come from the tree itself, from the rustling of its leaves. I pressed my palms against the rough bark and closed my eyes, focusing on the whispers. " Come... find... me..." The words were faint but distinct. My heart raced. Was I losing my mind, or was there something more to these whispers? I stood up, brushing the dirt off my jeans, and took a few steps back. The whispers grew louder, more insistent.

“To be safe, I would like some more crystals putting out in the woods on the north side of camp. As far as you can manage to the clearing. That way, if things to go wrong I have a better chance. Has anyone got any ideas as to how I could let everyone at camp know if that was the case?” The deep voice came from right behind me. “Dog whistle, maybe.” I hadn’t realised he had got so close, but his mouth was nearly level with my ear and the heat from him sent a shiver through me. I could sense his anger, but I could also tell he was holding it all inside.

I’m happy to know that someone can help us, I really thought we would never be able to leave here. He faced the Bone Wolves with his head held high. The brown wolf's roar was deafening. But it didn't work. My whistle became more and more shrill, and the moment it was blown, all the Bone Wolves here understood my orders without any instructions. "Ow!" The Bone Wolves on the shore surrounded me. One by one, they roared at the moon, their decaying skulls turning stiffly, their dense fangs spreading slowly toward the brown wolf.
