The Ouroboros used their shields made of dragon bone to block the arrows; the curve of the shields made it hard for any to flick through.

Everything was expensive, angular, and designed to intimidate. I perched on the edge of a leather couch that probably cost more than my annual salary. Declan moved to the bar, pouring a second glass. Get lost, Zane.” Archer comes towards us and asks, “Is there some problem here?” He looks between the two of us and Zane lets out a low growl. Archer’s eyes darken showing his wolf is under the surface and he says in a low tone, “This isn’t the place, Zane.” Zane looks at me and back at Archer before walking off and heading inside with some of his buddies. Archer looks at me with an eyebrow cocked up and he asks, “Are you okay, Ri?”

It rages wildly piercing the mist. Altarria shifts her weapon back to a bow again. She takes two arrows and aims to her left. The mist is still covering the surroundings. She breathes in and tries to stand steadily. She charges her arrows and they glow in red. Red lightning emits from them. She changes her bow position to horizontal. She moves from the wall and releases the arrows.

I nodded in acknowledgment. Rowan rolled his eyes, for a man so handsome he was for sure an asshole, “She goes into action tonight. I don’t care if she’s a clergy at a court. She needs to know the basic form of defense.” “Teach me then.” I said to him, “I’m ready.” He snorted and threw the bow at me, coming out of nowhere I fumbled catching it. He chuckled, wickedly, my frown grew even deeper. “It takes a little deal of arm strength to fire these arrows. They’re specially imported from South America, made from kronimum steel which can impale a werewolf. It wouldn’t kill one, but it can for sure hurt it.”
