“This is the Altar,” Mother Sera whispered. “Bound by blood and fire, hidden for centuries. When the Church fell into darkness, we buried it. But it was always meant to be found—by you.”
Arthur looked around, tense. “What happens now?”
Mother Sera turned to him. “Now, she reclaims what was taken.”
That night, Isabella stood before the Altar alone. Flames erupted from its base, licking up into the chamber, but she did not flinch. The room trembled as the ancient anointing responded to her presence.
