It was a sure sign that none of them trusted the witches before them. Rain mindlinked his beta. "Switch back. We must. They must see us as allies not enemies." Erin his beta switched first. Sounds of cracking and small moans filled the ethos as muscles shifted and Erin's human form began to appear before Rain and the others with a dark five o'clock shadow covering his face. Unease filled his eyes as they shifted across the room. The rest of the wolves shifted with him, Darin, Phoenix, Jack and finally Max. Time ran differently here, minutes in the earthly realm were hours in this one.

The moon at its fullness readily shone on mountain Gaza. The whooshing whispers of the wind tore into every part of it. The mountain was readily situated at the center of five wolf kingdoms ; Azra, Ezra, Nitra , Yarna and Baduk. For every other night, it would have a lovely sight to behold the parts of the five kingdoms from the peak . But tonight, the case was totally different. The tension was high and uncertainty was the mood . Duncan , the alpha king of the most powerful kingdom, Azra, had begun a quest that was long buried. A bloodline that this network spent four hundred years systematically suppressing and eliminating because Lunar Wolves were the only beings capable of opening the channel to the Moon Goddess fully enough to reach the Foundation level.” I kept my voice level and my pace steady. “They knew this. They have always known this. Every Lunar Wolf killed, suppressed or kept weak

Moon asked confused. "Weren't wolves created without humans? I can't imagine how Gaia might have turned out had the human half hadn't been released." Moon commented. "You must understand the importance of the part we all play in this. I have dealt with Chad and his Council long before I was your alpha. Winter was an old wolf, and I was his Luna. Chad’s wolves are different beasts in their own rights, they need to be reguarded with respect, or whoever the Council faces in physical or psychological combat will fall every time." she paused to sip her coffee.

As she turned to the next page she wondered not for the first time what on earth her grandparents were doing with a book like this? It just didn't seem like their reading style. It is a mistaken assumption that a werewolf can only shift during a full moon or even any kind of moonlight. The shift can take place at any time of day or night and depends on the circumstances. But they must change at least once every forty-eight hours or the gene in their blood will create havoc in their system."

The murals told of their battles, their triumphs, and their losses. I felt a deep sense of reverence as I walked through the chamber, absorbing the history that was unfolding before me.

--- Scene 3: The Shadow Wolves Stir Far beyond the Sanctuary, in the ruins of a cathedral drowned in shadow, the Eclipse Wolves gathered in a circle. Their new leader stood at the center—a figure cloaked in writhing darkness, with eyes like molten voids. “Vaelor rises,” the figure hissed. “And through his ascension, we shall become eternal.” The gathered wolves howled as one, their voices a low, feral chant: > “Shadow to flesh. Flesh to power. Power to eternity.” As their howls grew louder, a ripple of energy surged across the world, turning the crimson moon an even deeper shade of blood.
