Shaking my head and breaking whatever trance Noah had me under, I turned back to my book, focusing on the first page. The mysteries of life can only be solved by asking questions. Was the first line under Chapter one . I groaned inwardly, fighting back the urge to slap the book on my forehead. Was this a temptation? Why would the book start with that. I tried to make eye contact with the other books but it was too far away. I was sure the other ones wouldn't start with this. Or maybe it's a sign . A sign from the universe to take my chances. A go ahead from the moon goddess. Maybe asking Noah personally wasn't a bad idea. What exactly could go wrong?

Flipping to the back section, which dealt with magic other than spells, she was pleased to find she had opened to the exact page she was seeking—the beginning of a chapter about dreams. She wondered if it had been luck or magic that had guided her to this page. She closed the book and then carefully re-opened it to a spot she thought was much closer to the back. She was only mildly surprised when she found herself looking at the same page as a moment before. It was magic, all right.
