The following day, I ventured out again, determined to reconnect with Brodie. This time, I pushed past the familiar two-mile marker. When I finally made the connection, it came too easily—almost alarmingly so. I refrained from speaking, choosing instead to simply sit in the silence and listen. But the quiet was unnerving. All I could hear was the relentless whisper of the wind, swirling around me like a ghost in a desolate landscape. It felt eerily still wherever Brodie was. I concentrated harder, pushing deeper into our connection, striving to see the world through his eyes.

Its intensity was immense, filling Faye with newfound strength. ‘Let us begin,’ Whisper growled. ‘Become one with me, young witch. The time has come for you to fully accept who you are and what you can do.' Whisper gracefully stepped off the bed and the window opened by some unseen force. Sleek and powerful, she turned to face Mathilda and Faye. The growl that erupted from her, was primal and instinctual. She knew exactly what to do.

Kaelen stood a little distance away, his arms crossed, eyes scanning the horizon, perhaps searching for answers that felt increasingly elusive. Just as disappointment settled in our chests, an unexpected wind swept through the wasteland, stirring the dust at our feet. It carried with it an otherworldly quality, neither warm nor cold. I felt it dance around me, wrapping me in a gentle embrace that sent shivers down my spine. Then, the whispers began. "The Oracle…." A man’s voice, deep and resonant, broke the silence, followed closely by a woman’s soft murmur and the high-pitched giggle of a child. The cacophony twisted around us, each voice laced with urgency and longing.

Energy whips through me, crackling over my skin and churning my blood as I chant silently into the night. “What…?” Amos gasps. His hands loosen around my neck. Greedily sucking in the heavy night air, I take the opportunity to speak the incantation aloud. The syllables slide out in a coarse whisper, echoing across the water in terse ripples. “​​From light to shadow, from stone to bone, I send you back to the void you’ve known. By earth, by sky, by sea, I proclaim, Be gone, demon, in darkness remain.”

Then I exhaled—and sank. The water surrounded me, welcoming and fierce all at once. It pulled me under but held me gently, like I was a child returning home. My eyes fluttered closed, and the world shifted. I saw flashes. A woman standing on a frozen battlefield, blades of light in both hands. A white wolf howling into a storm. A circle of priestesses standing around a glowing crystal. Demons falling, screaming, burning in blue fire. The Key. Me. I opened my eyes, but I wasn’t gasping. I could breathe underwater. My hair flowed around me like moonlight, and I reached out—and the water obeyed.

Maybe— The man reached out, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear before trailing his fingers down her arm. Sienna tilted her head slightly, letting the touch linger, her body language relaxed, almost inviting. Then she whispered something, her voice too low for Ethan to catch, but whatever she said made the man chuckle—a deep, indulgent sound that made Ethan’s skin prickle with unease.

His appearance is quite strange as his body is full of scars. "Whi whi whi, I didn't expect this. Glutton didn't expect this heaven!!!" it shouted with delight and looked at Rayven's direction. I immediately hide and leaned on the wall. My hands are trembling from fear and I'm still covering my mouth to avoid myself from shouting or making any noise. I don't know how would I process this thoughts. What are they? Is Osamu dead? But why? And is he really Mr. Rayven? Who is that?

I looked up and Eli nodded. “I am Yuukio, and I will be your guide today.” Yuukio said bowing. I just looked Yuukio over, from behind him I saw what looks like to be a white fluffy tail. Then another, then another and another, holy shit how many tails does he have?? “Excuse me Yuukio, but what are you?” I asked him curiously. I never met a creature like him before and I was dying to know what what he was. He just smiled at me, his grey eyes shinning in the moon light. “Me my dear, I’m a Nine tailed fox spirit from Japan.”

"Why are you here? Why do you keep on running after me? Do you think that I'm that numb to not to notice you, huh?" I heard the noise of the dried leaves. Kaya alam kong lalabas din 'yon. I snapped my head at my window, there and then I saw a giant owl that was making heavy fluttering sounds from it's feathers. Yesterday evening, I had taken my binds off, while studying and had forgotten to put them back. This owl which was a big as my house, was whistling instead of hooting, something which was totally a different sound vocalization. It's eyes were growing bigger and bigger, as it continued whistling. And this started making me go deaf gradually, with my eyes creasing right into their sockets, spinning my world and making everything go blurry. I was suddenly rendered weak, and felt a huge itchy lump stuck in my throat.
