Davis blinked, eyebrows raising. “Come with you where?”
“You need to see this,” I replied simply.
His eyes narrowed, the familiar spark of curiosity igniting, the way it always did when he suspected I wasn’t being entirely honest. “See what? The inevitable slaughter of some poor contestant?”
