mind link, spoke. I instantly teleported back to the pack house, specifically to the witches’ quarters where Celeste typically stayed, after hearing her call over the mindlink with some crucial information. Celeste bowed down in terror and murmured, “Alpha.” I had given my lycan form total power, and even she couldn’t bear to look at me in that state. Celeste, what is that? I inquired since I was only interested in the crucial information she had for me on my partner. “I was carrying out a ceremony in the witches’ cemetery to find Luna when an odd incident occurred. In the graveyard, I sensed a very sinister presence. There was something that was not of this world. “It was definitely a demo

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

Darkness descended, the sky turning a sickly shade of crimson, and Mia's smile twisted into a look of terror. The demon's presence surged within him, stirring the dormant power that lay within his veins. Its malevolent whispers filled his mind, taunting him, tempting him to embrace the darkness. Alex clutched his head, desperately trying to block out the onslaught, but it was a battle he seemed destined to lose.

Especially Juniper and Ahlum when they said it. “That’s what Katastrofi is!?” Vera and Freya yelled at the same time, jaw dropped at the demon standing there. Unable to react properly, Tristan began to tell them about the demons. “Mhm. There are four corrupted demons- Katastrofi from Aziel. Delora from Yizar. The other two are unknown to the world.” Juniper and Ahlum exchanged nervous glances, certainly not wanting to tell them they have already met Delora. But those two demons were extremely powerful.

“Not fucking creepy at all.” Each page held the name of different demons, Lucifer, Mammon, Asmodeus, Satan, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Belphegor, and Chaos. Each one had a short description alongside a sketched photo of the demon themself and a symbol. I’d read through each one, finally landing on Chaos. He looked different than the rest of the sketches, as if he were a last minute add to the book. The drawing of him was smeared, as if the artist rushed. His symbol was different. Less intricate than the others.

Bram murmured something I couldn’t quite catch to himself, but offered no suggestions. The witch’s equivalent to a lycan was a demon. Demons were the near immortals that spawned several paranormal species, similar to how lycans were responsible for all shifters. Similar to lycans, no one really knew their origin story, or who the first was. It was fun to compare and contrast the origin stories, though.

Leon asked Vetis who had been staring at them. “You might not known about it. After all when we were younger you hated fairy tales the most, but there are beings we call as the opposite moon,” Vetis leaned back to his chair, sighing, “They are a demon, like us. But they are also the opposite at the same time. They are called the children of the other moon, demons who wish for other demons to be destroyed to ashes.” “Children of the opposite moon?” Leon cocked his head, “Was that a part of our fairy tales?”

“You think demon’s don’t have souls.” He cocked his head. “Seeing what we are capable of, would you say otherwise?” As I chose my next words carefully, my fingers found their way into my hair. Sometimes the pulling wasn’t a conscious habit. If I were stressed, it just sort of happened. “No, I wouldn’t,” I agreed, tugging two strands free. “But there are different kinds of demons. My kind believes our Goddess pairs us with our perfect match—the missing half of our soul. She doesn’t make mistakes. The mate-bond wouldn’t have anything to attach to if you didn’t have a soul.”
