Chapter 1 The Sunshine
Santino's P.O.V.
The rain continuously pours down on the green field. The weather matches today's event: a funeral. A ceremony to honour the dead men who gave up their lives just to protect my grandfather, the Don of our clan. Our faces remained blank, like this is a normal gathering for us.
This is the reason why I prefer business over politics. It's messy. My grandpa, Don Carlito Moschelli, was heavily injured and now recovering inside the Intensive Care Unit.
Since my great biological father went missing a few months ago, I, the first grandson of this famiglia, needs to step up my game.
One of our soldiers handed me a tiny, folded piece of paper. The one side of my lips automatically moved upwards in a smirk as soon as I read what's written inside.
I have a wild guess who ambushed my grandpa, and I was right. I stepped out from the ceremony and headed straight to my car, not minding the harsh rain drops that are soaking my inner pale long sleeves shirt.
"Sir, do you need backup?" One of my soldiers shouted out of concern. I just dismissed the idea by waving my hand.
I drove straight to the enemies' pub. The place is like a low class night club.
An axe and a shotgun. A perfect couple.
I aimed to the people guarding the front door. Adrenaline activates every nerve end of my body. I shot them right on either chest or head.
This is my life, my hobby. I like the thrill of having only two bullets in my magazine and I have to do a straight A plus bullseye.
I was blinded by excitement and entertainment as I kill every one who would block my way.
The bang of my gun and their screams are like peaceful melody.
One shot, one kill.
One bullet, one headshot.
The floor is flooded by their mortal blood.
No'ng naubos na ang bala ng shotgun ko ay sinunod ko gamitin si Sunshine, my favourite axe.
I smashed the man's arm and throat, who tried to shoot me using a pistol not only once or twice.
He tried to fight back, but I twisted my axe deep down his forehead at sinipa ko naman ang isa pang aatake sana sa akin.
I'm not a super human para hindi magalusan ni isa. A knife pierced through my arm, and a light punch landed on my lips habang busy akong nakikipagbuno sa mga miyembro ng gang. But I sticked my eyes on my target, on their supposedly boss who is uncomfortably sitting on the couch.
Magkano ba?" Pagmamakaawa niya na siyang ikinatawa ko.
'Yong tawa kong nakakainsulto. I didn't blink or tear my gaze off.
"Why should I give a mediocre gang leader a chance to live?" I pointed my Sunshine axe on his chest, teasingly.
"Dahil...dahil birthday ko ngayon." He begged.
"Happy Birthday!" Then I swing my axe towards his leg. A painful scream rings from him, and I'm enjoying it.
Strike after endless strike.
AFTER my pleasant encounter with that small gang, nilagay ko ang putol na hita ng boss nila sa box at dumeretso ako sa hospital to give the present to my grandpa.
When I arrived at our family hospital, my grandpa was still unconscious.Nadatnan ko ang aking kapatid na si Nazar, the middle child, arranging and slightly tapping some pictures that are scattered above the treen table.
"Nakikita mo ba 'yang mga larawan?" I teased. Nazar is a blind man.
"Stop bullying me, douchey," He countered and added, "I'm helping you choose a lovely wife."
"The old man is still alive. He's just hibernating," I protested. Alam ko ang tinutumbok ng usapang 'to. I'm not in the mood to take on a big responsibility.
As part of being the future Don of our clan, I need to have a wife.
May iisang babae lang akong gustong pakasalan. Unfortunately, she is still taken.
Agawin ko ba?
Papayag kaya siyang gawin akong kabit?
"Tanda asked me to do this," pukaw ni Nazar sa aking iniisip.
My forehead collided into knot. I recognize the woman in the photo. I memorized every inch or centimetre of her divine face.'Yong babaeng iniisip ko lang kanina. 'Yong babaeng tinantanan kong sundan dahil alam kong wala na akong pag-asa.
"Is she already single?" I asked my brother.
"Sa tingin mo nakikita ko kuya?"

Chapter 9: Not An Italian Girl Sabrina's P.O.V. It's been two weeks since I started playing the violin for Santino until he falls into a deep sleep. Lahat naman ng violin piece na he requested so far were all familiar. Katulad na lang ngayon na tinutugtog ko ang isa sa mga sikat na classical piece ni Ludwig Van Beethoven, entitled 'Ode to Joy' and playing this one makes me feel young again. I first played it in front of my relatives when I was around twelve years old. The notes are simple yet powerful, the rhythm is straight forward, I only have to focus on pressing the right quarter and half notes. As soon as the final swipe of my bow against the strings had ended, I gently opened my eyes, and the sight of Santino's dark, lazy but irresistible figure blocked my vision. My goal every night after my work is to make this hell of a grown-up man sleep like a baby in a crib. Pero hindi tulad ng

A shade of smokey gray orbs twinkled as the light of the night lamp had hit his handsome face. He's a creep for lying down beside me without my permission, and ang tanging ginawa lang niya for thirty minutes ay tumitig sa mukha ko. I'm trying to distract myself from his presence by scrolling on my Instagram account dahil ayaw naman niyang umalis sa kwarto ko. "Do you want to cry?" He asked out of the blue. "Why would I cry?" Because you're sad and broken," he stated.Maybe, it's easy for other people to read me. Lumapit siya sa akin, "Because your cousin and good-for-nothing ex fucked each other behind your back that's why now, they're having a baby." "Stop." I warned him. "You've been together for four years, Sabrina. Ikaw ang pinanga
Chapter 7: Under the bedstead Sabrina's P.O.V. Pumikit pa ako ng ilang ulit to process everything. I can feel his skin warming up my whole body underneath the thick blanket, and I'm not stupid para hindi mahulaan ang mga nangyari kagabi. Ilan ba nainom ko? Kahit naman wala akong maalala, malinaw sa akin na I had a one night stand with someone. It's located near a calm lakeside. My wallp

I asked my wife as we walked out of the chapel after our wedding ceremony, our fingers intertwined."I want a couple tattoos!" she exclaimed blissfully.I’ve never had a tattoo—unlike some of the criminals I’ve known. I always avoided them, not wanting to be traced... and honestly, I was never into it.But for her—my wife, my other half—I wouldn’t think twice. I simply nodded in response to her request."And a wedding photo as well, please?" she added sweetly. That, too. I don’t usually like taking pictures of myself. But how could I say no to my wife?"Prontissimo," I said, dropping a kiss on the side of her head. "Your wish is my command, kitten."Magkahawak kami ng kamay ni Sabrina habang sabay na nagpalagay ng tattoo. It's a cross shaped tattoo na may numbers '020825'—our wedding date na kasama sa disenyo. Siya
Chapter 5: The Actor Sabina's P.O.V. 'If he wanted, he would. If he won't, another man will.' I never thought that I would ride a yacht with a man,'yon nga lang hindi ko siya mahal. Pero pwede na, kasi gwapo naman. Mas gwapo sa ex ko. Dahil lagi akong mag-isang sumasakay no'ng kami pa ni Marlon. I always ask him to do this, that, and those with me, but I always settle for something that he wants us to do together. Am I too much? Mali ba ako? Masyado ba akong demanding? "May lason ba 'yan?" Sarkastimong tugon niya, "You have to drink water. Nakakarami ka na ng alak." "Ayo
Well, siguro nga gano'n talaga kapag buntis. "Saan daw nagpunta manang?" Usisa ko. Nag-aalala
