Finding Supremo

One year ago...

SUPREMO'S POV

"Naihanda mo na ba ang lahat ng kailangan ko?" I asked Vincent, who had just entered my office. He was the one my grandfather sent to help me on the mission I needed to take care of. He's thirty, five years older than me.

"Okay na lahat. Na-empake ko na ang mga gamit na kailangan mo. Naghihintay na ang sasakyan sa labas." We both got out and went towards the car.

I sat beside the window, gazing outwards at the street while Vincent was the one driving my car. We are on our way to the Hotel where I will be temporarily staying, while I carry out my mission. "Malayo pa ba tayo sa Hotel?" I asked Vincent.

"Hotel?" his eyes, from the rearview mirror, met mine. "Anong hotel? Hindi ka sa hotel mag i-stay."

My eyebrows furrowed. "The hell are you talking?" I said, confused by his words.

"Sa dorm ka titira," he said without giving me any emotions.

"What?!" My voice echoed inside the car. "Lolo told me—"

"Change of plans," he said, cutting me off.

"And you didn't inform me?"

"I did."

"Yeah. Just now." I said sarcastically. "You should've told me in advance." I sighed as I diverted my eyes outside the window, waiting for him to explain the change of plans he just mentioned.

"Sa dorm ka titira para mas mapagtuunan mo ng atensyon ang misyon mo. It was your grandfather's idea," he started. "Lahat ng mga nakatira sa dorm ay estudyante."

"And you want me to live with those students? Have you lost your mind? I'm not a student or something!" I said angrily as I turned to him, giving him a deadly look.

"You are," he said and pulled something out of his pocket. "Here." Inabot niya sa 'kin ang isang school ID na may mukha ko, pero hindi ko pangalan. "Simula ngayon, you will be known as him, not JT." Yes, I'm JT and it stands for Jax Theo.

"And I will be studying?" I asked, started to get irritated. Hindi naman 'to ang napagkasunduan namin ni Lolo. This is far from what we talked about. Ang sabi niya, I will be staying at a hotel near that f*cking dorm, while doing my mission. But now, he wanted me to live there and study? Damn it!

"Hindi mo naman kailangan mag-excell sa pag-aaral mo. It's just props para mas madali mong maisagawa ang misyon mo while hiding your true identity as Supremo. Walang dapat makaalam na isa kang mafia at wala rin dapat makaalam ng tungkol sa misyon na gagawin mo," he stated.

"And what if somebody finds out?" I asked, making him think for a couple of minutes.

"You need to silence them...even if it means taking their lives."

"What? That's bullsh*t!"
