Chapter Seventy Seven

"You'll find out in a few hours. Just trust me. Okay?" Rose said.

"Okay... I am just curious to know what and why you want to do this." Christopher added and continued to eat.

In a few minutes, they had finished eating and Christopher insisted on driving them. They all left the house together. Christopher dropped Princess off at school first and then drove Rose to work. When he parked the car, he turned to look at her fully and asked. "Can't I stay with you for just a few hours?"

"You can, but I won't allow you to. You need to go to work!" Rose said with a smile.

"Do you know it is not necessary for us to come out of the house? We can just use the office at home!" Christopher said again.

"What's your point?" Rose asked.

"My point here is that, if you don't want me to go inside with you then, let's use our working space at home. I have so many companies and I can't go there every day. I just have to wait for when there is something important." Christopher explained.

"I know but it's not good for me. This place just opened yesterday and you want me to start taking off?" Rose asked with a smile.

"Well, if you can't miss it then I can go with you. That will be great!" Christopher said happily.

"I know it will be great but, I can't allow it. Do you want my employees to think I am not capable?" Rose asked him.

"How can I want them to think of you like that? You are very capable and I know that!!" Christopher said hurriedly.

"Yes, you know that but they don't. Give me time to get used to things around here and there might be changes. This mall is bigger than all my small grocery store combined together. It will definitely take some time getting used to." Rose said.

"Okay, fine. Have a great day at work..." Christopher said with a pout.

"Stop acting like a baby!!" Rose said with a giggle. "It doesn't suit you at all. How can a billionaire like you be acting like this?" Rose asked.

"What's wrong with my attitude? I can only act like this with you. Who else can I act spoilt with?" He asked.

"I am not the only one you can act spoilt with!! There is another person ooo!" Rose said.

"Who is the other person?? You are the only person who gets to bully me." Christopher said. Somehow, they was something different about them today. He knew that Rose was gradually becoming free around him and all her shields are going down especially since last night. She woke up this morning and took the initiative to give him a good morning kiss thinking he was still asleep.

"You still have a fiancee who is willing to go to any length to have you!" Rose said.

"What?? Please, don't tell me you are talking about that rotten fish. If you say then you will spoil my whole day. How can you talk to me about such a person in the morning? Gosh!!! My day is ruined..." Christopher lamented.

Rose couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter at his action. His face was as if she had committed the worst crime against him. "Stop talking like that... She is still your fiancee. Didn't you hear her yesterday? She said you belong to her." Rose said to him again.

When she started laughing, Christopher kept looking at her. If making a joke out of him is what will make her happy then, he is ready to continue making her laugh. With that thought in mind, he answered. "Gosh, and you are still talking about her. Is it that you didn't know she was delirious or you just want me to get a second wife.?" Christopher asked.

"Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I just want you to fulfill your destiny. Maybe I want you to answer the great call and get married to your destined wife. How can you leave her with the identity of a fiancee?" Rose asked with a smile still playing on her lips.

"Maybe you are right!! I can't leave her with the identity of a fiancee after all. I will have to do something about that!" Christopher said while nodding his head as if he had made a decision.

The smile on Rose's face started to fade slowly. "So, what will you do about that? Get married to her. After all, she is your destiny." She said.

"Hmmm," Christopher said while tapping the steering wheel. "I don't know about her being my destiny but, she can't be my fiancee forever. I have to do something serious about that. She can't stay like that forever." He said after a moment.

"So, what do you plan to do? Get married?" Rose asked.

"Well, I don't know... Why don't you tell me what you think I should do. What do you suggest??" Christopher asked.

"Well, I suggest you go to work right now!" Rose said and opened the car door.

"What? We are talking about something important and you are running away?" Christopher said and pulled her back into the car before she could step out. While they were inside the car, they didn't know that a paparazzi was around. They were still hoping to catch Rose and ask her some questions. While some have already started investigating her background.

"Who is running away? I am getting out of the car so that you can go. It's getting late and I want to enter inside before 9 am." Rose said and pulled her hand out of his and got out of the car with her purse and phone.

Christopher immediately followed her out of the car. "Hey, are you angry?" He asked but a smile was still playing on his lips.

"Why will I be angry?" Rose asked him. "Why did you even get out of the car? I told you to go to work and you got out of the car?"

"How can I allow my beautiful wife go to with a frown on her face? Even tho she looks beautiful with any expression, a smile looks better! Now, if you can place that beautiful smile back on your face then, I will happily go back inside the car and drive off!!" Christopher said and caressed her cheeks. While they were talking, they didn't know that their picture have been taken.

"Okay dear handsome husband," Rose called and smiled brightly at him. "Happy now!?" She asked.

"Almost, how about you give your husband a kiss?" He asked.

"In your dreams!!" Rose said and walked away from him.

"I love you!!!" Christopher shouted as she walked away from him.

Rose halted her steps and turned to face him. "What are you doing!?" She asked with a glare.

"Can't I tell my wife that I love her?" Christopher shouted again. "I love you, Rose!!" He added loudly.

Rose looked around and when she saw that there was nobody close by, she just shook her head and walked away. After turning her back at Christopher, a wide smile spread across her face instantly. She even had to tap her cheeks. Christopher watched her walk away and also got into his car. There was a smile on his face also. When he entered his car, he picked up his phone and made a call. When the person on the other end of the line picked up the call, Christopher said. "Arrange a tv interview for me. I need feedback before noon."

"Okay, boss!" The other person said and Christopher hung up the call.

After dropping the call, he smiled and drove off.

Rose got into the main through the front door. She felt that since everyone already knows that she is the owner of the mall then, there is no reason to avoid people.

"Good morning ma'am!!"

"Good morning ma.!"

"Good morning ma!!" Everyone she passed by greeted her while she responded to them all.

"Good morning ma," Bolu her assistant greeted as she meet her before she could enter the elevator.

"Good morning Bolu. How are you?" Rose answered while Bolu helped her to press the button for the elevator.

"Am fine ma," Bolu answered.

Before Rose could answer, the elevator arrived and she stepped in. "Please meet me in my office when you are done with whatever you are doing." She said before the door closed.

She got to her office and decided to explore. She didn't have the time yesterday. She was only focused on knowing how the mall operated and she was concentrated on learning how to control the CCTV. There was a room by the side which she saw yesterday and wanted to check it out but there was no time to do that. She went to the door and opened it. What she saw surprised her. It was like she walked into a flat. The first thing she saw was the couch. It looked exactly like the one in their sitting room at home and she loved it immediately. There was also a small bedroom attached to it. It had everything anyone will ever need in a house. Rose shook her head and murmured. "Such extravagance. This guy just keeps surprising me." After going about the office, she decided it was time to go back to her seat. She had just sat down when there was a knock on the door. "Come in!!" She called to whoever was outside the door.

"You asked me to come and see you. That's why I am here." Bolu who just walked in said.

"Yes, I wanted us to set some things. Please, have a seat." Rose said.

Bolu sat down across from Rose and they got to work. Rose set a meeting between herself and the heads of every department In the mall. They talked about how many times in a week she would be having such a meeting and the last thing they discussed was concerning the models that they would be working with for the boutique in the mall. While they were talking, Rose remembered Princess. "Oh, before I forget, have you contacted any child model?" She asked.

"Yes ma, we contacted a fast-growing child model. They are siblings and they are a great choice. You should have heard of them!" Bolu said.

"Really? Who are they?" Rose asked.

"They are miss Lily Blake's children," Bolu answered.

"Oh, have they accepted the offer?" Rose asked. She had forgotten that Princess introduced the siblings to her as her new friends.

"They have but, we are still thinking of getting another set of children," Bolu answered.

"Okay, that's great. I want us to use my daughter as one of the models. Well employ her like every other child model and give her the same contract!" Rose said.

"Ok, in that case, what we need is another male. We haven't seen the best option yet but, they are working on it. I will inform them about miss Princess and who should we contact?" Bolu asked.

"Me, contact me when you all are ready," Rose answered.

Bolu noted it down with a nod of her head and said. "Okay, ma,"

"Would that be all?" Rose asked.

Bolu was about to answer when she got a notification on the tablet with her. She frowned at the sudden notification and said. "Please give me a moment. The publicity team just sent me a link now and asked me to check it out..."

Rose just nodded her head and allows her to check it out. When Bolu saw what they sent to her, she just showed it to Rose. When Rose saw it, she just read what was written on it and handed the tablet back to Bolu. It was a picture of her and Christopher in the morning. She was surprised but, acted as If it was no big deal and said. "Just ignore it. If that's all then, you can leave now. Thank you!"

Bolu stood up, picked up the things she came in with, and walked out.

After being left alone, Rose took her phone intending to fully read what was written. At that moment, her screen lit up and it was a text message. "Make sure you turn on your tv at 11 and tune it to AIT. I have a surprise for you." The text read.
