|| ALEXIS's POV ||

" You shouldn't be out there with some guy, Princess!"

I grumbled, closing the door with a bang. She was startled by the sound but remained seated. Her expression said though it was better to be killed than riding with me in the same car. Elinda replied with a scoff, staring at the street ahead,

" You aren't my guardian. Stop acting like one."

My jaw clenched tight in anger. I would have never come if her brother didn't request me. I owed Albert too much. If I knew about her real identity, I wouldn't have screwed her anyways. I replied patiently, gripping the steering wheel,

" I am saying for your own good. You could have been photographed by the papparazi."

The words didn't settle right into her ears. She turned black before spurting with mockery,

" At least it's better to be photographed with a Commoner than a monster in disguise?"

It took all the strength away from me. My veins turned white in anger. Before I could know, I had grasped her by her head, pulling her so close until I could smash my lips again and again repeatedly.

Fuck. That. Kiss

I missed these lips for years. She still tasted like a strawberry, the sweet innocent fruit of mine. It was me who changed and welcomed more darkness in my life. The kiss was rough and harsh as if I was trying to pour years of frustration into her mouth. Why was I addicted to her when I rejected her as my mate?

The kiss ended with a brutal bite from her, my lips bleeding but all I could focus on was her flushed cheeks. She shouted at my face,

" ASSHOLE!"

I smirked, wiping the blood from my lips with my thumb,

" I was just trying great pictures for the Paparazzi, Princess."

It pissed me off to hear another man's name from her pretty lips. I had become unreasonable after meeting her. She hated me yet I couldn't stop the temptation of teasing her. She gave another dark look. Before I could talk, bullets flew in our direction. Elinda cried out in fear, burying her head down. I stepped on the engine and started driving aggressively. I was freaking glad that I brought this bullet proof car with me.

Elinda kept shouting with cries, cursing me,

" Fuck you!!! Are we being followed by some criminals? It must be.. because of you..."

I pity her for being so innocent. She didn't know the darker shade of her favorite brother. I drove the car away speedily, desperate to save her from any harm. I swore to kill anyone who would dare to touch her. Driving in the lane, I finally took the highway only to be stopped abruptly by a giant wolf. A wolf was standing in the middle of the street in a threatening position.

His voice reached my ears once the car stopped,

" Give up the girl."

I narrowed my eyes at his audacity. No one had ever dared to cross my way. I turned to order Elinda, her eyes still brimming with tears,

" Keep your head down, Princess. I will deal with this."

Getting off the car, I kept the doors locked, striding to the wolf effortlessly. His spirit dampened a little when he watched my face, anger bubbling from the corner of my mind. His paws went backwards, watching me silently. When I stood facing him, he blurted out again,

" I have no feud with you, Don. Just the girl..."

I cut him off with a rumble, beginning to shift myself back into my lycan form. He replied fearfully, backing away slowly,

" I apologize. I shouldn't have come.. please.."

__________

As I paced around the dimly lit room, tension coiled like a snake in my gut. My sister, Elinda, stood before me, her eyes wide with concern. I could see the fear etched on her face, mirroring the turmoil within me.

"Elinda, why did you send Leonid to pick me up?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

I paused mid-stride, turning to face her. "Because you're not safe anymore," I replied, my tone grave. "You need to hide."

Elinda's brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean I'm not safe?" she asked, her voice tinged with fear.

I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But seeing the fear in her eyes, I knew I couldn't keep her in the dark any longer. "There are people after me, Elinda," I confessed, my voice barely above a whisper. "And they won't hesitate to come after you too if they find out you're with me."

Elinda's hand flew to her mouth, her eyes widening in shock. "But why? What have you gotten yourself into, Albert?" she exclaimed, her voice rising in panic.

I shook my head, feeling the weight of guilt settle heavily on my shoulders. "It's complicated, Elinda," I admitted. "But right now, all that matters is keeping you safe."

Elinda took a step towards me, her eyes pleading. "I can't just hide while you're out there risking your life," she insisted. "We'll face this together, whatever it is."

I felt a surge of gratitude wash over me at her words. Despite the danger, she was willing to stand by me. "Thank you, Elinda," I murmured, reaching out to squeeze her hand. "But for now, you need to trust me and stay hidden."

Just then, the door creaked open, and Leonid stepped into the room. His eyes flickered between Elinda and me, taking in the tense atmosphere. "Everything okay?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.

I exchanged a glance with Elinda before nodding at Alexis. "Yeah, everything's fine," I replied, trying to sound convincing.

But Alexis wasn't convinced. His brow furrowed in suspicion as he turned to Elinda. "Are you sure about this, Elinda?" he asked, his tone cautious.

Elinda met his gaze steadily, her jaw set with determination. "I trust Albert," she stated firmly. "Whatever he's gotten himself into, we'll face it together."

Alexis studied her for a moment before nodding in resignation. "Alright then," he conceded, his voice resigned. "But we need to move quickly. We can't stay here for long."

I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of urgency creeping in. "Let's go," I said, gesturing towards the door.

As we made our way out of the room, I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that lingered in the air. But with Elinda by my side and Alexis's unwavering support, I knew we would face whatever lay ahead together.

  • Hunted By My Rejected Mate   chapter 179

Chapter 179 || ALEXIS'S POV ||I stood hidden alongside the gates of the academy, partially covered by the tall metal fence, my fists clenched within my coat pockets. The morning air was nippy, but the tightness in my chest had nothing to do with the chill. I had stood there for some time now, my eyes never leaving the pathway that led to the entrance. My gut told me I needed to be here, that something was going to take place—and I was right.Noah's black car pulled up beside the gate, and a moment later Elias climbed out. His lean form bounced effortlessly on the pavement, his bag slung loosely over his shoulder. But then Noah's hand clamped over his shoulder, turning him to face him, and I saw the boy's smile leave his face. "Elias," Noah said tightly, his tone allowing no argument, "you don't see Alexis anymore. Not now, not ever. Do you understand me?"My body tightened at that. So, Noah was trying to cut me off from Elias. Why? What was he hiding?Elias pouted, his eyebrows scow

  • Hunted By My Rejected Mate   Chapter 178

    || CLARA'S POV ||I barely had a moment to breathe when the door to my chamber was flung open with a deafening bang.“Mikhail,” I whispered, startled. He looked like a storm wrapped in flesh — eyes blazing with betrayal, fists clenched as if holding himself back from shattering the walls. My heart began to pound.“Why are my wolves listening to you?” he growled, voice so low it was almost a snarl. “They report to me, Clara. Me. Not some girl who showed up out of nowhere.”I stepped back instinctively, my hands rising, not in defense but pleading. “You were sick,” I said, forcing calm into my voice though my legs trembled. “I took over because they needed leadership. You were bedridden for days. You don’t even remember—”“Liar!” A new voice spat the word like venom.I froze. Mikhail’s godmother, Alina, stepped into the room like a shadow from the past — regal in her age, eyes sharper than any blade I had faced. And in her hand, a talisman glowed faintly — the same one I’d hidden months

  • Hunted By My Rejected Mate   chapter 177

Chapter 177|| CLARA's POV ||I returned to Mikhail's mansion that evening with my heart pounding faster than necessary. The door guards straightened when they spotted me. They bowed, as they always did, their heads ducked in that cowering respect I had bullied into them all these years. But now, looking at them, there was no pleasure in me. There was only terror—because I already knew the truth inside. The spell that had protected me, the spell that had held them under my control, was gone.I swept them all aside with urgency, not even noticing their twisted salutations. The mansion still smelled the same.I walked straight to my room and closed the door, shaking fingers resting on the handle. I leaned against the door, staring blankly at the richly carved mirror on the opposite side of the room. I sat on the edge of the bed, my hands grasping the silken sheets. My mind spun around me, hardly held in check. The healer was right.I could feel the words he had spoken to me that morni

  • Hunted By My Rejected Mate   chapter 176

Chapter 176|| ALEXIS'S POV ||I was paralyzed, staring at Elias, my entire universe centered on these tiny golden dots that glittered like gold in his eyes. It was for a moment, but I caught it. I knew what I saw. That color—dazzling, fierce yellow, the same color that had burned in my own eyes when I first transformed as an Alpha—flashed in his eyes like a secret trying to break free. My own chest pulled tight, all of my muscles taut with shock and something far deeper, far heavier.I couldn't catch my breath for a moment. My hands trembled as I held him close to me, my fingers resting softly on his thin arms as if I were scared that if I let go of him, he would be gone from me. My mind chanted one thing over and over again. He's mine. He has to be mine. That yellow wasn't a trick of light. That was Alpha blood coursing through him, despite how young he was.Elias blinked up at me in wide confusion, unaware of the storm that had possessed my chest. His lips opened as if he were go

Chapter 175|| ALEXIS'S POV ||My palms resting on the edge of the table, I stared out the window, watching the empty street. I had planned to visit ELINDA's place later in the day to see Elias, but in the meantime, I was content to rest here, beyond everyone's prying eyes. The sound of hurrying feet outside broke the silence, and even before I could get up, I knew that the door creaked open. I did not need to guess who it was.Lysa.She strode in like a storm, her heels striking the wooden floor sharply, her entire face twisted in anger. She didn’t knock, didn’t ask for permission—she never did when she was furious.“So this is where you’ve been hiding,” she snapped, her tone dripping with accusations. Her chest rose and fell quickly.I did not move. I simply gazed at her, firm in my stance. "Lysa, this is not your place. You cannot just barge in like you have." Her eyes blazed at me, ignoring all that I said as she advanced a step. "What have you done to me?" she hissed, her anger

  • Hunted By My Rejected Mate   chapter 174

Chapter 174 || ALBERTO's POV ||I stood in the middle of my personal mansion, the silence so dense it was suffocating. Clara lay asleep on the enormous bed in the room's center, her face white, her lips parted as if she was panting even in sleep.I had brought her here because this was the one place where no one would be looking for her—not Blake, no one. My own mansion was buried deep in Lycan lands, protected by powerful runes and guarded by warriors who took orders from me alone. No one would be brave enough to disobey my orders here.None of that mattered now, though. The Lycans' best healer had already checked her out. He was standing right beside me a moment ago, his hands glowing softly as he read her energy stream. I could still sense his words resonating in my head, heavy and immovable."She's been doing spells for years," he had said, his voice commanding but with a hint of anxiety underlying it. "Her body can no longer absorb power the way that it needs to. Her channels a
