THE LAST THING I REMEMBERED

LOLA

"Let me go," I tried again, but I wasn't even sure if I heard myself. I was too gone from the alcohol to make any decision at that moment.

The strong arms guided me forward forcefully, against my own wish which I was too weak to enforce.

I was going to go in for a fight, but I held myself back. His fingers clasped around my arm felt more like a promise than danger.

We had gotten to the entrance when someone grabbed my wrist.

"You haven't settled your tab," a deep voice honed, interrupting the moment I was already drowning in with every willingness and glee.

I struggled to keep my vision steady but all I could get used to were dark images in slow movement.

I winked again and then again, hoping my vision clears out, but that wish didn't make it out of my thoughts.

"Yes---thank you" I heard someone say, but I couldn't quite make out who.

It was almost like my brain was playing games with me.

I was still secured in position by the arms of that stranger.

I heard a sound of a soft swipe , then a beep and a pop sound that sounded like the notification for the completion of a process.

My head was heavy. Even though I couldn't see anything, I still struggled to keep my eyes open.

I wanted to tug myself free, but I found myself leaning more into the warmth of his arms. I found myself slowly wanting to be trapped forever in the moment.

I felt a scratching patch roughen the edges of my throat.

I swallowed, the weight of the desire building up, refusing to go down my stomach.

A strange cold gripped me.

It was like I was the only one in that room without clothes.

My hands moved - steadily, hastily, for confirmation. I gave myself a quick search down, around my chest and down to my knees. If anyone was looking, they'd probably think I've gone crazy.

But then, I was probably thinking ahead of myself again. Maybe, Eddy was right all along. I would never be in the spotlight. Nobody would ever want to watch me.

Tears tugged at my eyelids. Shaking my head, I blinked it back hard.

The noise from around me intensified - pop music accompanied by screaming dancers and loud impatient customers.

I threw my hands around my ears, pressing down hard to block off the noise that made my head slam hard against my skull and my sight worse.

At that moment, a hand nudged me lightly by the side.

I moved.

I wasn't sure where he was leading me, but I followed anyway. I needed to get out of there.

After about a minute, I could tell we were outside. Somewhere behind me, the noise slowly rumbled away, and the night wind rolled leisurely against my skin.

After about another minute, I felt my body sinking into the hard or a car seat.

His car smelled like it was brand new - no distinct scent, just clean and unused.

I heard the door slam close behind me and my skin stiffened to the thought of having to be alone in such a small space with this mystery man that had somehow become my saviour tonight.

I wasn't sure if it was the dullness of my vision contributing to my improved hearing, or my racing heart accounting for every next second that followed - from the number of steps he took to walk around to the driver seat, to when he opened the door and finally settled into his seat, clasping his seat belt secured and turning with a slight pressure against the materials of the car seat, I knew every moment in depth.

I could tell he was looking at me now, but I still wasn't able to make out what he looked like and strangely, it made between my thighs even hotter.

I couldn't even pretend I wasn't losing it sitting in front of him like this, not being able to do anything.

My head felt light, like I was floating on the clouds. My stomach rumbled from the emptiness replaced generously by alcohol.

"Oops. Sorry about that," I stuttered, my voice sounding strange - defeated, impatient.

He didn't reply, his position didn't change. He was leaning forward towards me and it made my heart burn with a strange desire to lean in too, see what he does next.

My eyes still drowsy, my p*ssy still throbbing, my heart still pounding, with all of the courage, I shifted in my seat to face him.

He didn't move.

A belch rose up to my throat. I couldn't hold it in so I let it out, loudly, my stomach turning upside down. My thoughts too.

My voice tore through the silence of the quietness of the car's interior.

"Do you hate me?"

I gulped against the absurdity of my own question.

Silence.

I was about to give up on getting an answer when I saw his head move, to the left, then slowly to the right and then back in position.

No?

My mouth spoke just before my head thought.

"Do you think I do not deserve to be looked at?"

I had returned one of Eddy's line to the stranger whose face was inches away from mine, who had boldly stated that he loved me despite the countless flaws Eddy saw in my existence, whose breathing I could feel rub against mine in the privacy of inside a car, parked under the shade provided by the darkness that lurked a distance from the entrance of the club.

I swallowed - shamelessly, my tongue dancing to a tune it had never heard before, in anticipation to an answer I was sure would defeat Eddy in a certain way.

My body pumped with anxiety as I watched keenly, for the slightest modification of his position in that moment.

My eyes were heavy. I could barely see.

Then, like electricity, the warmth of his palm greeted the thick of my thighs, causing me to gasp at how suddenly his hand had moved.

At first, he came and remained steady, then slowly, he stroked back and forth, against my cotton skirt, as if trying to convince me, either to never ask such a question or perhaps a silent plea to allow him go on.

I grabbed his hand, causing him to stop. My eyes were heavy. My thoughts were heavier, messy. I could feel the heat from his gaze against my skin, probably wondering what to do next.

I wanted him to touch me. The heat had gathered in a pool that was a release away between my legs, but that was the last thing I remembered.

Him. Me. His car. My hand. His hand. My thoughts. Darkness.

LOLAMy breathing hitched, something warm and flat pouring against my face.I rolled over on my back, not fully acknowledging that it was probably time for me to get up.I kept my eyes shut even when my conciousness was taking form fast. Then, suddenly and sharply, the metallic scratching sound of curtains being drawn apart from its holder broke through the silence of the moment. My eyes flipped open, the harsh first rays of the morning sun attacking immediately, filtering right through. It was so unbearable, it stung.I was still rubbing my eyes as I stood up from the bed.I had caught a glimpse of the figure towering by the side but I was too sleepy to make sense of it until I had to face it."F*ckin come off it, Lola!" Eddy voice boomed against my skull, staggering me right into full conciousness."Are you even serious?" his voice tightened against his throat.I was lost on whatever was happening and everything he was saying.I was fully awake, bit I still couldn't understand it.I

EDDY"Dr. Connor Millow!" I exclaimed, intentionally refusing to look up from the opened document on my tablet, my fingers holding up my tea cup mid air.My study was sacred and everybody, including Connor, knew not to bother me whenever I was behind its doors. But somehow, my best friend, Connor Millow, who was also the family doctor and happens to be the first unfortunate idiot that dares to desire my wife lustfully bypasses the no disturb order anytime he was in my house. So, when I had gone in for my quiet afternoon tea moment and the door swung open twenty minutes later, I knew it could only be one person."Was bedeutet das?" he spoke in German, a certain heaviness hanging between the words.I took a small sip from my tea cup, trying my best to hold down the hate threatening to become a fully fledged contempt in my heart for this man."What do you mean, doctor?" I asked, letting the cup down on the side stool and dropping my tablet into the sofa to look at him squarely."What is

  • SCORNED BY HIM, DESIRED BY THE THREE   BACK TO MY SENSES

LOLA"Do you want something?"I had already processed a million emotions when his next words came through."I can order you something if breakfast was not to your liking. It's not too late to eat a proper breakfast."My heart sank into my stomach and I couldn't hold myself back from gasping in shattered hopes. My hands were shivering so much, I had to clasp them together tightly to stay calm, all this while, Greg's gaze never leaving me.My lips trembled against the wetness pooling fast between my legs, attempting to run down my thighs. All I needed at that moment was a good digging, but of course, I couldn't do it in the presence of my father-in-law, right inside his bedroom — that would be a very crazy stunt to pull. But what if he was holding back because I wasn't given him any sign to forge forward. What if---"It's okay. Think about it and say something," he said, standing from the bed at the same time, then heading towards the gigantic glass closet that stood at a corner of the

  • SCORNED BY HIM, DESIRED BY THE THREE   NOT A JOKE. NOT A DREAM.

LOLA"See me as soon as you can," Greg had beckoned to me while I cleared the table after breakfast that morning. Not like the in-house chefs couldn't clean up after us, it was just my way of getting things off my mind that morning. After I had wiped the table dry, I dropped the napkin against its hanger with a low sigh then looked up to see Mrs. Adama smiling warmly at me, her fingers intertwined and hanging in front of her, against the face of her flowery apron.I wasn't ready for whatever she had up her sleeves this morning, so I forced a smile back, walking past her towards the stairs.I heard her sigh softly behind me and I think she had said something, but I didn't care.Broken, disappointed and desperate for a way out of how dejected and rejected I was feeling at the moment, I made my way to the only room on the ground floor — my father in-law's.I was sure he wasn't in the sitting room, he hadn't gone out — his bedroom being the only other place he could be.I didn't even bot

  • SCORNED BY HIM, DESIRED BY THE THREE   WHAT HAPPENED AT DINNER

LOLAIt was already several minutes into breakfast and Connor wasn't at the table.I looked from his plate of poached eggs and irish fries to the next person's and then the next until I had gone round the table and then back to my own pity plate of a medium sized garden egg sliced in halves and a cooked egg missing its yolk — the one thing that makes boiled eggs bearable for me."Eat up," Eddy nodded with a mouthful like he could read my thoughts.I ignored him---I wish I could. I wasn't sure when I prompted my head for a nod and then my hand had moved, cutting a tiny bit of the white fruit with my knife and going ahead to launch it into my mouth and then I chewed, the next bite sadder than the previous. Then, Greg, my father in-law, spoke. That was when it kind of became obvious that it wasn't just me and Eddy on the table, and somehow, that it wasn't just Connor that was absent, Freddy was too.I wanted to get worried. I wanted to wonder if Freddy had decided to never come for bre

CONNORI couldn't sleep at Eddy's tonight. I tried, but what Lola had asked kept echoing in my head.I had looked at the leather wrist watch on my wrist and decided it wasn't too early to make a decision even though it was 2AM.Refusing to get drowned in the confusion that loomed in every single corner of Eddison Langford's mansion, in the temptation that clawed aggressively at my chest, in the difficult situation both husband and wife had successfully tethered me to, I had picked up my car keys and driven through the gates without a second thought.I was running on a speed of a stubborn offender being chased by cops along the highway of Beverly Hills, my mind very far away from the confines of my Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 thinking of whether to go home or go elsewhere for the rest of the night.Suddenly, a sharp deep vibration crashed roughly through my thoughts, causing my breathing to lag through that moment."F*ck!" I yelled, losing control of the steering but fast enough to hold t

LOLAMy feet hurried across the corridor, past the first room, then the second, and I was standing in front of Eddy's room.My heart was beating faster than it was while I waited for my fate at the breakfast table a while back. LOLAI had been sitting at the table for over fifteen minutes. Alone. The dining room was the kind of large that feels larger when you are the only person in it. I sat at my usual spot - the chair closest to the window that nobody else wanted because the morning light came in at an angle that made
