“Stella!” “Coming.” I shouted from my room after hearing Anna called my name. I quickly combed my messy deep brown hair that fell to my waist and left it loose. Anna is my best friend and her house is located not many miles away from mine. She is 5'3, same height as mine. With her auburn hair, fair skin tone and with black spectacles she always looks cute. Her father died few years back in an accident and she lives with her mother. She had no siblings so I became the one for her. We went to same school, same high school and now we are going to same college. “Okay, I think I’m looking good.” I told myself looking at my reflection in the mirror. I was dressed in a casual Jeans and crop top. I wore my shoes and strolled to the living room.“Let’s go.” I said. While we were stepping out, I heard my mom shouting from behind.“Stella wait! Have your breakfast and go.” “It’s getting late.” I said and quickly took a glass filled with fruit juice from her hand then drank it. “Bye mom.” I kissed her cheek and strolled out. I held Anna’s hand and dragged her out along with me. We started walking to our college. The college is not so far so we decided to walk just to save transport expenses. “It’s our first day in the college. I’m excited. So, so excited.” Anna said jumping like a kid. Princess land... don’t go for any fantasy stories. Princess land is the name of my hometown. Cute name, ha! It is a very comfortable town to live with adaptable environment, surrounded by woods and greenery. I love my hometown a lot. I was born here. I went to my pre-schooling, schooling, high school and now college. Though it is a town, it looks like a city but with not much traffic and less population. It has everything from a normal school to rich, reputed private colleges. Even the guys from cities join in the colleges that present in my hometown. After few minutes, we reached college. It’s one of the rich private colleges. Don’t mistake us as rich kids. We are from typical middle class families. We got seat based on our score in the entrance exam. We entered in and looked at the college in ‘awe’. We saw a lot of rich cars and rich guys with their girlfriends. “Roman is here. Damn! He looks hot.” She whispered into my ear showing me Roman. Her hazel eyes sparkled looking at him. Anna has crush on Roman since her school days. Roman's parents were known by most of the people in the town, even my parents had amiable relationship with them but I didn’t have a great relationship with Roman though we went to same school and high school. I might have talked to him once or twice. As Roman is a rich guy, he joined in the college so easily. To join in the college for him, Anna took the entrance exam. Roman never noticed Anna though she was going head over heels for him. Even Anna too never proposed or dared to talk to him.“Started.” I banged my head with my palm. We then went to our classroom taking help from a lot of students. We sat on the chairs and looked around. Most of the guys were dressed in rich branded clothes and looked so hot. We knew most of the people there as most of them were from my high school. While Anna and I were talking, Victoria AKA Vickie, along with her two minion friends entered in. They were dressed in a bit tight, revealing dresses with a ton of makeup on their faces. They are really bad bitches. They use boys like they use their face powder. I never liked them. And Of course, they too never liked us. Vickie despises me as a boy on whom she had crush in her school days, proposed me. From then, she started treating me as an enemy. They started talking to boys and gazing at us in a weird way. I rolled my eyes looking at them. “I think they have no clothes to wear.” Anna whispered into my ear and we both started giggling. Soon our classes started and we listened to them. After three boring classes, we got our break. We went to college canteen and ordered our food. While we were talking, Anna’s mother entered in out of nowhere. We both shocked looking at her. “Hey mom! What are you doing here?” Anna asked, shocked. I smiled and greeted to her mom. She greeted me back. “I came to meet Clara.”Mrs. Scarlett Bradley; Anna's mother is a professor in another college. She is a strict woman who follows all the morals. She always wants everything and everyone to be perfect. She even shows her strict ness on her daughter. Thank god! We didn’t get admission in the college where she works.“Clara? Who?” Anna asked. “One of the professors here. I met her at professors union, one day. She called me for help regarding a subject. And yeah! She wishes to meet you.” “Mom! Please. I don’t want to meet anyone.” Anna pleaded but her mom didn’t listen. She asked me to go along with her but I rejected and it’s for my best. I don’t want to get noticed. They both left and I sat on the chair scrolling my mobile. The food was prepared and I went to the counter to collect it. I took the tray in my hands and started walking to my table. I saw a guy sat on my chair. His back was facing me. His dark brown hair was ruffled because of the wind blowing through the windows. I noticed many girls looking and talking about him. I went there and stood in front of him with my raised eyebrow. He was so busy with his mobile and he didn’t see me.“Excuse me!” I said and kept looking at him. He raised his head to see me. He looked dazzling with his emerald eyes, kissable lips and chiseled jawline. Anyone could feel his perfect muscular body beneath his black t-shirt that was making him look hot. He gave a smirk looking at me and said “Tell me beautiful.” In his husky voice. “This is my table.” I said placing my tray on the table. “You can take the table. No problem.” He replied giving his smirk which made him look so arrogant.I scoffed listening to him “I sat here first. I went to collect my order. Can’t you see my wallet on the table?” I asked pointing my wallet which I put on the table.“Don’t act like a kid. You can sit somewhere else or can sit along with me.” “Everywhere else was filled.” I shouted. “Come on! I don’t mind if you sit along with me and share your food.” Saying that, he started touching the fries. I hit his fingers and moved my tray aside. He laughed looking at me. Ignoring him, I looked around to see any empty chairs but I didn’t find one. “Why? Are you afraid that you’ll fell for my charms if you sit with me?” He smirked. I could understand he asked it deliberately to make me sit with him so I didn’t reply and I didn’t want to argue too. But to my bad luck, I didn’t find any empty chairs so I ended up sitting on the chair in front of him. “O.M.G. you eat these many items?” he asked looking at the food in front of me. My brown eyes met his emerald eyes as soon as he asked it. There’s no surprise if he ask that as the tray consists of food that could be easily eaten by two people. I ordered for Anna and I but she left. “Is there any problem for you if I eat much?” I rolled my eyes and started eating. He crossed his arms and kept looking at me with his smirk. “What?” I shouted and stopped eating. He tilted his head sideways and said “You look beautiful.”My cheeks flushed hearing him but I controlled it. Though I got many compliments from a lot of boys, I never cared but this time it’s different. I bent my head down pretending I was gazing at the food. But the fact was, I didn’t want him to see me blushed. I ignored him and kept eating. “What’s your name?” he asked. I didn’t reply to him and focused on my food. “You don’t have friends? Oh yeah! Who’s going to do friendship with you if you don’t even share your food?” He rolled his eyes. Anger rushed through me hearing him. I looked at him angrily but he didn’t care about that. “I have a friend. She is more than a friend to me. She went along with her mom. And I do have friends. A lot of friends.” I shouted but not in a loud voice as I was never the fan of any kind of attention. Though I was shouting, his smirk didn’t fade out. He was looking at me not bothering what the hell I was screaming.I continued yelling “And why am I telling these things? I don’t want to prove that I have friends.” Saying that, I stood from my chair, took my wallet and left the place. Truth to be told; I left the place not in anger but I ate enough and I couldn’t eat anymore. I kept walking to my classroom while talking to Anna on cell phone. “I’ll come to the class directly.” Anna said and cut the call. I reached my classroom and saw few people already there. After few minutes, Anna entered in and I kept telling her what happened after she left. While we were talking, Roman along with that arrogant guy entered in. All the girls who always stares at Roman started staring at that arrogant. Now I could see him perfectly and his perfect height. He was in the branded clothes. He wore a black leather jacket on his black t-shirt. He is so tall. Many inches taller than me. Might be 6’2.“He is the one.” I told Anna but she was busy looking at Roman.Suddenly that arrogant guy’s gaze fell on me. He smirked and kept looking at me. I too kept looking at him angrily. He then sat beside Roman and continued smirking at me. All the girls started strolling to him and kept talking. He too started talking and laughing with them. “A player.” I muttered and rolled my eyes. Through girls, we came to know that he is Roman’s cousin and his name is Harry Wilson. The classes stared again but this time I couldn’t concentrate on my classes as I was feeling his gaze on mine. I tried to ignore him but I couldn’t. After college, Anna and I walked to our houses. She reached her home and I kept walking to mine. I pushed in the gate. I stood in front of the door and I felt surprised, no scratch that, literally scared seeing the arrogant guy sat on the sofa at my home. A mesa cheia, risadas, bolo, velinhas. Mas nunca me confrontou.Nunca me expôs.
Apenas continuei cuidando do Enrico.
Nada.Nenhum vestígio.Parecia que eu nunca tinha existido ali.A respiração dele ficou pesada, descompassada.
A voz impaciente do Dário me puxou de volta pra realidade:— Lívia, ficou surda? Não me ouviu pedir um café pra Evelina?Respirei fundo.Calma.
Respond
