Chapter16 – Teases of Mr. Knight
I opened and closed my mouth like a fish out of water to give him a comeback but I couldn't find anything intelligible. So, I swatted his chest playfully and made my way to Eric who was now looking at Xander with his big brown eyes filled with approbation. I could hear Xander's hearty chuckle from my behind, because of my reaction.
I scowled at him and crossed my arms in front of my chest.
"Where is your granny? She asked me to bring her some plant saplings," he informed me and scanned our garden for her.
"She went to the town to meet her old friend," I notified him. She knew that we had more than enough saplings to plant. She told me that she will be meeting her friend the previous night, then why did she ask him for more saplings.
I swear that old lady was trying to set me up with Xander, not that I was complaining but still my feeling for him was complicated. I'll talk to her once she came home.
