A cold shiver sears down my body and I’m coming free from the untoward attack, coughing chestily as his hand secures the back of my neck fiercely. I whimper, pleading as tears swarm in my eyes, trying to at least graze off a tiny piece of the glacial layer in his condemning eyes.

“Why didn’t I find you cooped up in my bed? Do you relish in the torments I cause you that much? What are you, a masochist?” He laughs cruelly and I fearfully shake my head, wobbly lips parting to save myself from his accusation.

“Kitra...s-she said I w-wasn’t n-needed since y-your g-girlfriend w-was w-with you” I wheeze desperately, my respiration greatly affected by his grip at my nape.
