Ian's p.o.v"And that's an order from your alpha queen." She said.I wanted to strangle her and tell her how her words meant nothing to me but I couldn't. For some reason I found myself submitting by bearing my neck to her."Good." She whispered then stood up."Axel is badly injured just like you were. He was the one taking most of your pain in order to sustain you. He won't be able to communicate with you for the time being until his full recovery." She said as fear washed all over me."Relax, he is just asleep." She whispered as I sighed in relief."Remember my words Ian because you wouldn't like to anger me would you?" She asked, then smiled.I faced the other side angrily when I heard a loud thud.I quickly looked back and saw her laying on the ground unconscious.I moved out of bed without a second thought and carried her in my arms carefully then slowly put her on the bed and pressed my hand on her chest."She's alive." I whispered in relief when I felt her hear

Neo's p.o.vAs we ran through the woods I had only one thing in mind, to lead my mate to safety. My legs were hurting and my chest was aching badly. For quite a long time we continued without stopping because we knew the warriors must have noticed our disappearance yesterday.Vision was quiet and refused to talk to me or help us in any way. Despite siding with our mate he had regret over his betrayal to our alpha, that's what was eating him up."I can't run anymore." Sherry said in a whining voice for the tenth time. She stopped in her tracks, making me do the same and look at her seriously."Why should I go through all this hell?" She asked as I frowned. What exactly did she mean by that? Didn't she want to be with me?"I don't understand." I said under my breath."What's there not to understand huh? I didn't sign up for this at all. My plan was to simply kill Ian and have you take the alpha's position, not us running around like some wanted fugitive!" She spat."Sherry, it seems you

Ian's p.o.vFor the first time in my life, my eyes were filled with tears. As seconds turned into minutes her words began to sink in slowly."I wasn't your father's actual mate and he knew that. Because of the curse, he couldn't find his true mate, and that frustrated him a lot. He was growing old and the curse was getting worse, it was driving him insane day by day and sadly he couldn't do a thing to stop it. Besides that, he was weighed down with another worry, and that was to produce an heir to his pack." She said then took a step closer. "You see, your father knew it was a matter of time before he would fall and leave his pack without a ruler, perhaps in the hands of his enemies. He had to have an heir from any she-wolf capable of respecting him and raising his pups well, that's where I came in. He never loved nor gave me his attention. Actually, never was there a day he wanted me for anything besides his release and duty." She said sadly then continued."I w

Ian's p.o.v I groaned softly then slowly opened my eyes. My body was relaxed and the beautiful tingles I felt were making me feel at peace. I frowned for a second and smiled when I looked at Amelia who was laying next to me with her head resting on my arm. I moved my free hand without a second thought and brushed her long hair backward. "My mate." I whispered softly then froze when she shifted a bit and opened her eyes gazing into mine. I kept quiet not knowing what to say or do. Was I to greet her? Perhaps kiss her?. No, the kiss was way out of line. "Morning." She whispered with a warm smile. "Morning," I whispered back then leaned in and kissed her lips lightly. Fuck being out of line, she really looked perfect with her sleepy eyes and messy hair. When I pulled back she was staring at me with a frown on her face. I was about to ask what was wrong when she quickly sat upright and brushed her hair with her fingers, her gaze was fixed on her pajama which was wrinkled on her b

Amelia's p.o.vI was carefully putting the cooked dishes on the kitchen table while glancing at the room's entrance here and there. After an hour of debating where we should eat, I chose the kitchen. It was far away from the entrance door of the pack house and further away from the living room and dining hall.Ian had two different sides, or was it characters. He was so cold a second then kind the next.Him saying that we should eat supper together wasn't supposed to make me feel happy or have me lower my guard, yet here I was doing just that.It was possible that he was messing with me and that he wanted nothing to do with me, sadly I still couldn't stop myself from hoping for his genuine love."That's impossible." Aurora whispered.I put the last plate on the table then sighed softly."Aurora what do you mean by that? Also, I've been meaning to ask you this. Did you by any chance beg Ian to acknowledge us? Because I have been killing myself thinking about his sudde
