Almost like his old self—except for the notebook clutched in his hand. "Emily!" he shouted. "Day 150! A full 150 days!" Security moved fast, but he shoved through. "Mr. Wilson, this is a private event," Luca said, stepping between us. "Move!" Daniel's eyes were wild. "I need to talk to my wife! Do you know how long it's been? 150 days—3,600 hours! 216,000 minutes!"

I had to. "One of the machine was not running smoothly at that moment. I told one of my workers to look closely to it while I monitor the whole section for errors that cause that little problem. Nothing in particular caught my attention so I check the monitor to see if there are any changes. The energy supply that the section is giving is less than the usual standard so I ordered to shut down the section for monitoring and troubleshooting. My team preformed it and it took us 3 hours to finally figure it out and fixed it." I explained to them while trying to avoid my voice to shake. "Did you know how much money that the company lost during that hours?" The blonde, tall young man from the memb

Ifenna said, trying to be serious. "Can we continue?" Ifunanya asked, just to be sure that he was following up with what she was doing. "We can continue. Like I said earlier, sixty minutes make up an hour," Ifenna replied. "Which means that there are one thousand four hundred and forty minutes in a day?" Kainene asked, trying to partake in their conversation even though she knew that she wasn't needed. "You got it right, sister," Ifunanya smiled and then faced Ifenna who had suddenly turned serious as if he was prepared for whatever she was going to throw at him.

While everything I'd been holding in came pouring out. We stood there for a long time. Long enough for the tears to slow. Long enough for breathing to even. Long enough for something like strength to return. Not much. Just enough to keep going. Just enough to take the next step. "Four hours," I said finally, my voice muffled against his chest. "I'll sleep for four hours. Then I'm back up. Back working. Back searching." "Six hours," Lucian countered, his tone firm but loving. "Four isn't enough. You need real rest. Real recovery. Six hours minimum."

Not 177 days. 24 hours until two hundred enhanced children were activated simultaneously. 24 hours until the world changed forever. 24 hours to save them all. Or lose everything.

And that is to use something it hates, a noisy environment. Marcus took something back from his pocket. There, Daniel once again saw the most familiar envelope of his life. “We'll start training tomorrow. I'll go personally, so you can't refuse.” “How many hours will our training last per day?” Daniel asked immediately. “Six hours.” He breathed a sigh of relief. Six hours, meaning he would still have time for Amira. He didn't want Amira's two -month stay in Howling Land to come to naught. “Is it okay not to sleep there?”

"I usually go to all of them." Silence I glance up and find them staring at me like I’ve just admitted to running marathons in my sleep. "But… that’s like…" Zach starts counting on his fingers, his eyebrows knitting together. "That’s 24 hours a week… how the hell do you manage all that?" "Actually, I train for about 37 hours and 45 minutes." The words slip out before I can stop them. Dammit. I nearly groan out loud. My stupid brain just couldn’t resist showing off. Of course, I had to say the exact number.

As long as I have the strength. "You have to be intentional about how long you want to train. Previously, you trained for six to seven hours." She shrugged again. Maybe nine or ten? "Ten hours would be too much for you-" I can do it. "I know you can, but doctor Susan said you can't stress that much." She waved it off. She literally just waved it off. Was she calling it bluff? "You don't think she knows what she's saying? Remember it was you who couldn't exactly walk home the other day."

I had claimed my birthright and found my mates all in one night. Kane was already awake, his dark eyes watching me with quiet intensity. "Morning," he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "Morning," I replied, my voice still rough with sleep. "How long was I out?" "Almost fourteen hours," he said. "Your body needed to recover." I blinked in surprise. "Fourteen hours? What time is it?"
