Gray was comfortably seated on one of the couches in the living room, with a book in hand, and without sparing them a glance, said nothing more.
“Melanie’s got you reading now?” Caelum asked, initiating conversation.
“Says it’s her favorite book yet,” Gray replied. “How many more of this must I read?”
“A lot more,” Astraea answered. “She makes me read them too.”
“This is taking forever,” Gray said, closed the book, and stood. He looked them over with an amused expression, Astraea noticing the glint of joy in his eyes. He turned to walk away. “See you around,” he said, waving a hand without looking back.
