Aubrey took them and looked over them for a few seconds. “You shouldn’t have gotten these. They’re all in the restricted section.” Zira frowned. “I’ll go with you. But if you slip up again, I’ll kick your ass.” Zane’s grin widened. “That would be kind of hot, actually.” “I mean it, Zane.” “I know, I know.” Zane followed me around the corner to the next row of bookshelves. I began scanning the “S” section, and pulled out a title on soothsayer practices, which I added to the pile. Zane quirked a brow at me as I dropped the stack of books I was holding onto a nearby table. I’d collected more than five tonight, and intended to read them all. He picked up the most recent one and read the back with a curious expression.

In the end, the inquisitive one won but first, I listened for footsteps and when I could make out none, I got off the bed and went for the book, flicking its first page open. The only person who could give me a book was Zena but it was also weird, what kind of book it was. It wasn’t the usual one we both read and enjoyed. It was some sort of self-help book and its title was even more weird. “Kicking trauma’s butt with style!”

I stated instantly getting Zavier to put the code in that none of us would have gotten. As soon as we walked in my heart sunk alittle that's until Zavier walked forward and pushed me to the middle. "Grab it right away. Don't hesitate." He whispered before flicking a few switchs causing a book to ridd up. Fuck this could be good. The book looked ancient and power was radiating out of it. Waisting no time I grabbed it instantly causing me to absorb all the knowledge from the book. The book instantly disappeared. "You lied. Whoever grabbed it got the power." Azeki said sounding upset causing me to pull out my sword.

He places the stack on another empty table, and I approach, curious to see what he has brought. “Here you go, Miss Anara Valen. If I may advise you, I suggest starting with this book here,” Zephyr points to a red book with gold lettering. “It’s about the division of the packs. Then go to this book here,” he points to another book with a green cover. “This one is about the old alphas of Nightveil Pack, and then the rest is up to you.” I give Zephyr a sincere and enthusiastic smile for his tips and dedication in fetching all these books for me.

I had to find out what the fuck was really going on for myself. I did eventually find quite a bit of information about the so-called Zoldeck coven. My main source so far came from an ancient looking book one of the staff members directed me to when I told them I was looking for info on witches. The cover was brown and wrinkly and had some type of spiral symbol with three swirly things connected to each other. There was writing on the front, but it was in a language I didn’t recognize. It felt like dried up leather and the pages were so stiff I thought they would crumble between my fingers.

“What did you find?” Azazel gestures for everyone to take a seat across the conference table’s smooth surface and lays out several photocopies on top of the table. He waves for me to settle the book on the table, which I promptly do. Michael looks at the book. “In Libro Regum,” he mutters. “The Book of Kings.”

I returned a favoring smile to her by doing it genuinely before I took the book on her soft palm, an almost thick book with a blue cover. The book is heavy. On the front cover, there is a closed eye with long black thick lashes in a form of feathers placed inside a pentagon. Outside the badge has a wonderful abstract ocean and sunrise. Below it, golden embossed letters are shining to make its cover spectacular: BOOK OF A ZONER "Begin reading from page two to page five," Psyche said to me, stopping me in amazement. So I did what she wanted me to do. I flipped the pages until I reached the second page of the book. I started reading what's on it.

I also knew that if anything should happen that would make Azian turn against us, then my efforts would all have been in vain, and I would be the last of the line of the great witches. She thought for a second furrowing her eye brows, "well, I know we need a hell of a large back yard"

We should have more books about the Prime Omegas! I should try and find him, ask him about the book he has. It was different than the rest; plain, worn-down covers, regular-sized, and it looked as if it contained no more than 10 pages. Yet the contents, the story inside it was worth more than it looks. It was one worth remembering! I sighed, bracing my hands on the edge pf Councilman Marcus' bed, and clenched my eyes shut. My heart shattering upon seeing my Zannie fall down in tears.
