The next second, a white flash nuked my vision and forced my eyes shut. When I opened them again, my living room had straight-up rage quit and turned into a blood-red wasteland. "Okay, what the hell?" I squinted and spotted my six-foot-two husband, Adrian Chase, already doing the whole protective-dad thing with one arm around our son.

even if I knew I was safe here in my room. So once again.. I drifted off into a very disturbing sleep. Where I was overcome with nightmares. Nightmares about Garrett attacking me and Alan being upset with me .. and now.. Nightmares about being completely and utterly alone. I am alone. I struggle against the ropes, the panic rising in my throat until I’m choking on it. My mind immediately flies back to the little house in the city. The sun is up now. The babies are definitely awake. They must be crying. They must be wondering why the room is dark and why Mommy hasn't come to pick them up. I let out a broken, muffled sob into the dirty pillow. I am trapped in a nightmare, tied to a bed in the middle of nowhere, and my children are all alone.

I found myself in an unfamiliar bed, and it jolted me awake. The air was filled with the aroma of food. I looked around and found myself in a clean apartment. Samuel probably had no idea that I knew his secret account's details. He had a short uploaded. That bastard was having fun with some ladies. They looked fresh and innocent. He had a good eye for them, I guess.

He took it way too far. But who am I kidding? For someone who could send a serial killer to my house, he could literally do the impossible at this point. I run a hand through my hair as I get to bus station. I could not stop pacing back and forth as I waited for the bus. Too far Drake. Too far. The ride home took so long that I took a nap on the bus. There was a lot of traffic for reasons best known to the universe. Today has not just been good at all and it’s barely noon. I could not sleep all through the night because I was scared for Auntie Claudia and I had to watch her sleep. I only slept a hour and thirty minutes after auntie Claudia left and I couldn’t sleep again.

The De La Morts were simply nutcases. “STAY AWAY!” She screamed now at the top of her voice as the image of going back to that De La Mort mansion crossed her mind. Never again! Just then, a small hand touched her arm, sending panic atacking her. River's head snapped up, her eyes flying open and then, Rain’s worried face swam into view. It was a dream. Just a terrifying dream. Relief washed over her, so intense it took her breath away. She pulled Rain into a crushing hug, burying her face in her daughter's soft hair.
