Luke stays by my side while the others walks behind me. We walk in silence for a while, but my mind is anything but silent, because I am ninety percent sure that Lena lied to me and that these kids are actually mine, there's no way that her child with another man looks exactly like me. Luke interrupts my thoughts by asking me questions about the pack and what it means to be an Alpha, and I'm more than happy to answer him and I make sure to include his siblings, they ask so many follow up questions that it's clear that they don't know much about that part of themselves, the shifter part.

Alena read again. " Well this is our pack village, the Blood Moon pack ruled by the supreme Alpha." She replied, making Haven scrunched her eyebrows. ' What is she talking about?' Haven wondered ' Supreme Alpha? But there's only one Supreme Alpha Haven knew and that was the ruthless Alpha Lucious.' Haven had never met him before, but she had heard about the Alpha whom no one dared to offend. Alpha Lucious was rumored to be the most ferocious , ruthless and strongest Alpha that walked the earth. Even his name sent shivers down people spines.

Micheal scoffed and I frowned, “What were you expecting? A welcome hug? Sometimes Leo, you forget that you are the villain here. You rejected her and expected her to be miserable? Are you a psychopath?” I slammed him to the wall with my hand on his throat, “I am still your Alpha so be careful when you speak to me,” He shook his head and wheezed, he didn’t struggle but he didn’t beg either. “I am talking to you as my Alpha, you embarrassed our pack and your chosen mate. Do you think any other pack would want to sign their alliance with us after this?” I realized him when he started turning blue, not because he was making any sense.

Kira explained. Damien took in a deep breath. “I agree with you Alpha Kira. So far, there has barely been anymore cases of random death in my pack so it’s safe to say they want us to let our guards down before attacking us so we will just have to play along their game and make them think what we want them to think,” he said, adding more reasons to why he trusted Kira's judgement.

He grinned, his eyes shining, clearly delighted by the news. “Who was that man?” I asked. Something about his demeanor made my skin prickle. “That’s the former beta, Alfred, Luke’s dad. Luke was one of the guys who was with me yesterday. He lives in the packhouse here with me, and he’s my beta. Do you know about alphas and betas?” “Kind of. I stayed in a pack with my friend for a couple of weeks before I came here, and I met the beta. But I don’t know more than that.”

She was the only one who annoys me, and when she does, she makes sure that I almost go insane. “Master,” Luke called again. I turned around and yelled. “What?!” That’s when my eyes met with his. “Was I that loud?” I asked, followed by a deep sigh. “Yes,” the three of them chorused. “So who are you?” I asked while staring at him. “The new Alpha of the Howling dawn pack, Lucas. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Alpha Logan,” he said, wearing a wide grin on his face. “An ambush, huh?” Naniel asked.

His name was known in all kinds of circles. Why on earth doesn’t he have his own pack? I thought to myself, and truthfully, I had no idea. The Road Wolves were a pack of sorts, but Lyon was the kind of Alpha that could control the whole continent. Kaelyn was still under my skin, in my head, in my blood.
