When people used to think of shifters they would assume it was a human-wolf hybrid that could change with the full moon. But the humans were very wrong. Shifters are always born human and between their fifteenth and sixteenth birthday, their body would change and transform into their true race. While there are werewolves, shifters could also be many other things. Vampires, werewolves, and witches were by far the most common, while sirens, fairies, and the dreaded angels of the night were more uncommon among the shifting race. The most rare was called the arch angels.

Her canine teeth started developing into fangs. Two short horns appeared on her head and her ears changed. They looked more like that of a goblin. Henry pulled her hands but her legs were stiff. She couldn't move an inch.

There were Vampires, shapeshifters, witches, banshees, sirens, kitsunes, and nogitsunes, who were dark kitsunes. It was a lot to absorb but they spent their time learning about the other creatures. The battle that was going on was between the shapeshifters and the other creatures. The shapeshifters wanted to be the ones in charge of the supernatural world, they wanted to eradicate the rest of the creatures. Even though they could shift into any anima, human, or supernatural creature, if they become a supernatural creature, they do not get the power of that creature.

“Is there any threat in this city the cops can’t handle?” After a brief silence, Derik let out a deflating breath and turned to him. “I’m not supposed to be telling you this, but there are humans living in this city who can transform into some kind of animal. When they change, they possess inhuman abilities like superhuman strength, increased speed, or enhanced senses. Now that’s a threat not even the cops can handle.” “Shapeshifters?” he raised an eyebrow. “Yes, like shapeshifters, but that’s not what they are called. We call them Shifters.”

Ahanu had a menacing look on his face. "Ahanu, you can still call me by my goddess given name." Ahanu was crouched down, with hands on his knees with a sly smile. He shouted "Whatever you say... Tyee... Alpha Wolf Heart of the Blood Moon Pack, fearless protector of our lands." With that, Ahanu threw a small rock in my direction before shifting into his wolf, Ash, taking off for the river. If it's a chase he wants, he's got it. I let out a playful howl before shifting into my wolf, Dakota.
