He looked at my eyes seriously and that also made me more serious to listen to him attentively. "The Clepsydra. An hourglass but not the usual one. It contains water instead of sands. That's what they used to manipulate time," he said while looking at me directly at my eyes. Clepsydra? I haven't heard that word yet. I don't even have an idea of whatever it is if Cayden didn't tell me what it is. It's just new to me and just by how mysterious its name is, I know that it'll give us a hard time having it or whatever he's planning to do with it. But wait... Did he just tell me things about time?

Year 2022, writer's POV. I sighed in relief at the sound of Tina’s voice. If she could pick up the call, it meant she was safe for now. I checked the time and warned, "It's 9:20 pm now, right? Your mom will kill you in the east room around 10:00 pm. Run!" "Impossible! Mom has recovered. Who are you?" Tina retorted firmly.

We decided to hang out together and drink coffee near the school. After taking a shower, I choose to wear a grey mini skirt with a plain t-shirt. As I don't like to do heavy makeup, I simply apply some B&B's cream on my face, light pink baby lipstick and Lakmee eyeliner in my eyes. I watched my wall clock to check the time and it was 7:33 am. My phone rings, I checked the caller ID, it was from diru. I picked up the call... "Hello, Diru", I said.

She asked cheerfully. "Evan Lynch." Over the next few days, Hannah and I actively tried to figure out the rules of this time-space distortion phenomenon. But the more we investigated, the more confused we became. Sometimes, something placed in one spot would disappear the next second, but if we put something in the exact same place again, nothing would happen. This time-space distortion seemed completely random. It appeared without warning, and the size of the objects it transferred was random too. But there were still some patterns.

Hey readers I know I'm not giving proper updates to this book. I am extremely sorry about it. I have been quite busy because of my studies, and I have to wrap up my other story, "Love Me Again." The story has few chapters left, and then I'll continue another book in it with the story of next generation. So, I am focusing more on it as it's about to end. Soon, I'll come up with new chapters for Beyond The Time.

Smiling as I remember those good old days, I can’t help but look forward to my trip. “I wonder if he is still there…” Opening the door, my smile faded with the sudden rush of this unfamiliar feeling. This feeling that I would feel every time I remember a glimpse of the past… or should I call it other timelines? I still don’t have much idea of what is happening but I learned a few things. It was thanks to the hints I managed to get a gist of what was happening. Due to the fact that those memories I would be reminded of are all in different orders and sometimes… doesn’t really looks the same as the others…

I can see he’s so depressed. “You small girl, don’t you dare tell this to anyone or else I will be dead too?” "I won’t. Last question, what’s his name?" “Dr. Alaric” “Holy shit,” all of a sudden, I remembered everything in a flash of memory from Alaric’s murder till the time machine. How could I forget everything? Chris already told me this time machine is totally different. We all will forget everything and the worst part is we don’t belong on this parallel earth. We lost. Now I’m in 1803. How will I go back? we are lost in time. Who will save us? Every memory gives me a panic attack. My head is spinning. I dropped to my feet.

It wasn't necessary cause I wasn't planning on running, not yet. It had been more than a week since I had travelled back in time. I missed technology terribly. I really wished I could hear to Taylor Swift right now. Ugh! At this point I'll be glad even if I saw a toaster. I looked around the room and saw my tools, notes and equipment scattered everywhere. I cleaned up the mess and hid it under the bed. I needed a break.

Cassius said with a smirk, likely mistaking my gaze on the bookshelves as me restraining myself from browsing them. Despite not feeling as enthusiastic as he assumed, I still went for the books. I let my hands trail across the spine of the books, stopping on the thickest one. I carefully pulled it out, afraid to even scratch the cover. “That’s the novel section of the books. There’s really no title on the cover because it’s printed on the first page,” Cassius explained from his bean bag. I nodded at his explanation and opened the book. My heart nearly dropped upon reading the title. Was this just a coincidence? Written in an elegant font was ‘The Second Time Around: Chronicles of Ava Midgen’
