Trinity of Power
The pups tumble, flip, and roll across the clearing, their movements precise, intimidating, but above all else, graceful.
The she-wolves chant, cheering for their warriors, while the rest of us whoop and holler in support.
Tears slip down my cheeks as I watch the teenagers and children dance—for my pups.
“Why the tears, Angel?” Dev asks, his voice gentle. “What’s going on?”
“This is a warrior’s dance. The pups are doing this for our pups.” I continue to cry, resting my hands on my stomach and the slightly protruding bump there. “They’re calling for a blessing—that our pups will be great warriors. That they will provide for and protect their people.”
