Master Archer moves quickly, grabbing my hand that has the pocket-knife in it, saying. “What are you doing?” I look up at him as I say, “You want him to heal? I have to give him blood. Unless you want to give him some of yours?” He shakes his head before he nods and then steps back. I flinch and bite my lip as I press the tip of the pocket-knife into the skin at my wrist. I slide it along my artery before dropping the pocket knife, leaning forward, opening his mouth and placing my wrist over his lips.

I look at Nick with confusion "But you’re my brother, I will always love you. But you have to let me grow up and live a life." He shakes his head violently "I can't allow that, I already have lost Natalie! I can't loss you too." He notches another arrow and aims at me again. He whispers "I'm sorry" then he fires, I don't hear the twang of the bowstring, I only hear Aaron's scream. Before I realise what's happening, I feel a blinding pain as my head knocks against the tarmac road. At the same time I hear a loud snapping noise. The arrow falls to the ground in pieces beside me, and standing in front of me is Ash. All those superhuman reflexes must really be coming in handy.

Clifton says with a disgusted look on his face. “Did you happen to get a blood sample of his, as well?” I ask Brody. Brody nods. “First thing I did when we got him strapped down.” “Oh, so you’ve joined your Alpha in his blood drinking quest?” Clifton jokingly says to Brody. “You could try using your fang. I'm certain you'll get used to it with practice.” “Asshole,” Brody retorts and finishes drawing blood from my arm. “Back to the topic of the hunter,” I grunt.

“I can’t like people that I don’t know well.” I heard the covers ruffling against each other and felt his gaze on me. I glanced at him and saw that he was staring at me intently. Starting to feel awkward standing here, I looked around at the others. They all seemed to be watching Archer as if what he was doing was the most memorizing thing they have ever seen. “Now I offer you my blood as a symbol of our bond. Will you give yours to solidify it?” Archer asked. Okay now, this was just getting creepy. Was all of this really necessary? Shouldn’t we be focused on stopping Mavis right about now? Instead, we were standing around, minus Archer, talking about spilling blood, especially Archer.

I couldn't see her expression clearly, but I could hear her voice, which was far away and seemed to be very close. "Aaron," she called again. Abbey suddenly let go of my hand and stepped back nervously, until she disappeared into the darkness. Aaron stepped forward. He was holding a bowl of blood red thick liquid. Its foul stench mixed with the sweetness of the candles, which forced me to cover my nose. My feet flopped, and I slumped on the ground, gasping for fresh air. "It's crow blood." Aaron's voice was unmistakable. "You have to drink it."
