Dangerous Heartbeats

Dangerous Heartbeats

I don't think I'd ever get the opportunity to have him this close to me if he ever found out what I was up to. "You look pretty, Skylar," For the first time in weeks, he said my name, and it hit a spot it shouldn't have. I felt my heartbeat pick up an unusually fast pace as we stared into each other's eyes. Why was my heart beating this way? These were dangerous heartbeats. I shouldn't be loving Alfredo Miller again, but here I was, totally smitten by him. I forced myself to believe that I didn't love him because I was mad at him, but the truth was I never stopped loving him. All those years, it was there somewhere hidden in my heart, waiting for the right time to sprout again.

Terms and Heart

Terms and Heart

Stella was rushing toward me, a half-eaten sandwich in her hand, confusion and panic etched all over her face. “What happened?” she asked, eyes darting between me and the chaos inside. “He’s…he’s having another heart attack,” I managed, my voice barely a whisper. “Oh my God,” she exclaimed. She wrapped her arms around me, grounding me just enough to stop the shaking. I leaned into her, needing that hug more than I realized Minutes felt like hours. I could barely keep my cool, watching how hard the nurses and doctors were trying to keep him alive. Finally, the beeping slowed, Nate's heartbeat returned to normal. The flurry of movement also calmed down. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing from

Contract of Hearts

Contract of Hearts

But curiosity had always been her fatal flaw. The case opened with a soft click. Inside were books—beautiful, leather-bound, centuries old. Mira ran her fingers along their spines, marveling at the craftsmanship. At the end of the row, nestled between a Shakespeare folio and a medieval manuscript, was a box. Not a book box. A wooden box, carved with symbols she didn't recognize, its surface worn smooth by time. Mira lifted the lid. Inside was a photograph.

CONTRACTED HEART

CONTRACTED HEART

Sophia sat on the edge of the plush king-size bed, her eyes scanning the lavish interior with a mix of awe and sadness. The room was elegantly decorated with gold accents and intricate patterns on the walls, and a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow across the room. The floors were made of polished marble, and the windows were draped in heavy silk curtains that swayed gently in the breeze. As Sophia looked around, she couldn't help but feel a pang of longing in her chest. This was the kind of room she had always dreamed of staying in, with its extravagant design and luxurious furnishings. But now, as she sat there, she couldn't find any joy in it.

The Games of the Heart

The Games of the Heart

In that moment, the sheer joy and wonder on his face takes my breath away. "How is the baby doing?" he asks, his voice rough with emotion. Dr. Angelina beams at us both. "The baby is healthy and developing normally. Heartbeat is nice and strong." "That's wonderful," I breathe, studying the fuzzy black-and-white images on the screen, trying to make out our little one's form amidst the shadows. The doctor must notice my intent perusal. "You might not be able to see much detail yet since you're still in the first trimester. But I assure you, your baby is right there, safe and sound."

Awesome! This is the second book I’ve read from this author and it is outstanding! Love this family and their story. Wonderful storyline, written well, held my interest, strong characters, not drawn out and just an amazing love story. Adding you to my favorite list author. Will be reading more.

I loved this book. The grammar and English were great. I’ve partly read and quit several books on there that were literally unreadable. I got a little confused on Andrea’s family not knowing Stefano but it was explained later.

Rejected for Her Curves, Claimed by the Blood Alpha

"In this cycle, you don't exist because you were born; you exist because you are Borrowed. And the High Council is currently using the First Alpha’s heart as the collateral for the loan" The lift hissed to a stop in a chamber that looked like a cross between a cathedral and a laboratory. In the center, suspended in a cylinder of pulsing cyan liquid, was the First Alpha’s Heart. It was massive, a gnarled mass of prehistoric muscle and black-light circuitry that beat with a rhythmic, thunderous sound that echoed the very first howl of our species.
