she asked Adolphus in the choked voice. She then moved towards Ava and Madeline, and a loud whimper escaped from her lips. “Mom, sis. Monster, is what they call me Evil, is all I am known to be Now I shall be punished for my deeds Someone like me is not what the world needs They say my heart bleeds That I can be saved Only if I changed How I behaved But I am too far gone To be redeemed To be free Is what I once dreamed Now I breathe But I am not alive I am only waiting For my death to arrive Angelica closed the book carefully, her thoughts going in so many directions and her emotions… she didn't know what to feel. Sorrow settled in her heart. Lord Rayven. Just what have you been through? She turned to her side and stared out the window.

Barry left her alone to go to the kitchen. Her curiosity is one of the things that she hates about herself. When there's something bothering her, she will do everything she can to know more about it. She loves learning new things, and uncovering secrets. And now that she knows more about her lineage, she wants to understand everything. "Book of Demonology?" She found a book hidden behind a pile of old journals. From the look of it, someone hid the book intentionally. It was thick and old, and dusty. As she flipped through the pages, she saw something that caught her attention.

I sprang up immediately, realizing this wasn’t my home nor anywhere I was familiar with. Then, a little girl ran into the room. Angel. The same girl I had saved last night. My confusion only deepened. Why was I here with her again? A man in a wheelchair wheeled himself in. I had seen him yesterday, though I couldn’t recall exactly when. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry,” I blurted quickly as he explained how he had found me and brought me here. I hurried to put on my shoes, ready to leave. But then Angel tugged at my hand. She held up her tablet. On it, words appeared:

But what I see stops me completely. Angel kneels on the smooth courtyard stone, her large amber-gold eyes downcast as she carefully gathers her books from the pavement. Her long chestnut-brown hair spills over her white veil in soft waves, and even from a distance, I can see her hands trembling as she works. Coffee has soaked through the front of her grey hoodie, the liquid dark against the pale fabric. But it's the boy kneeling across from her that makes my chest constrict.

And then, once that was over, we could begin. “I've been researching,” Angela began almost immediately. We all watched as she pulled out a large, tattered book from her bag. It looked ancient, the pages yellowed with age, the leather cover cracked and worn. “There might be a way to help Alvin.” My breath hitched. “What do you mean?” I asked. Angela shook her head, flipping open the book. She opened it to a page and shoved it into the middle of the table, tapping on the page with her finger. “His hand.”

And suddenly…I knew exactly how I wanted to spend it. Me: I'm off today. Three dots appeared almost immediately. Angel: Come see me. I smiled. Me: Now? Is the Den even open this early? Angel: It opens when I say it does. A laugh escaped me. Arrogant bastard. Me: I'll be there soon. Angel: I'll be waiting, kitten. My stomach fluttered. The Angel's Den felt completely different during the day. Mostly because it was empty. No music. No masked strangers. No bartenders. Just the quiet elegance of black marble, burgundy furniture and gold. My heels echoed through the enormous room.

This is Book Two of the Demonic Angels Trilogy, this book will not make sense unless you read ‘Alpha’s Fallen Angel’ first. Thank you guys for reading and for all the support! Aylin is by far my favorite character of mine, so I’ve been looking forward to this book for quite awhile! Enjoy :)
