Stars POV- I woke up covered in sweat, I barely slept having nightmares all night and these cuffs cutting into my skin, leaving them feeling raw and bloody. I knew Willow didn’t get any sleep because of me. I looked over seeing the sun streaming through the window, I had no idea what time it was though. “Willow, wake up.” I started to try and shove her with my shoulder to wake her up. Her eyes slowly started to open, barely looking up at me.

My breath came out in shudders, and for a moment I thought I was dead, and I had awoken in the depths of hell. The pendant lay dim against my chest now, leaving behind an angry red scar shaped like a crescent.

Nyra stepped back as the world around us tore itself open in a spiral of moonlight. “Go,” she commanded. “Breathe again. Walk again. Change everything.” The doorway behind us shattered. Light consumed us. And I breathed. ___________________________ Emara Dell POV Awakening Cold air hit my lungs like a scream. My fingers twitched. My heart thundered. My eyes snapped open to a sky full of stars. I lay in the same blood soaked snow I died in. Beside me, Rowan gasped awake, coughing, then laughing through the shock.

Alternating pov: Dawn had barely touched the horizon when the pain woke me—sharp, rolling, electric. My whole body trembled, skin too tight, bones burning. I gasped and clutched the blankets, trying not to scream. The door flew open. “Sera.” Kade was already at my side, dropping to his knees. He must have been waiting. Watching. Ready. “It’s starting,” I breathed, voice shaking. “I know, baby. I’ve got you.” He swept me into his arms, holding me like I weighed nothing.

Chapter 40: A New Dawn The first thing Caden noticed when he woke was the warmth of the sunlight spilling through the thick curtains, casting soft golden rays across the room.
